Open space studio in Shawlands

Easy to find. Quite a few stairs to 3rd floor. The washing up liquid dispenser in the kitchen was a nice touch. It was very quiet.

The window blinds were woeful. Completely inadequate and not fit for purpose. The main left one does not stay down and we had to anchor it with a suitcase. The right one and kitchen one do not spring back up and needed winding up by hand. Even then we had to hang all the spare blankets over the gaps to stop the light. Which still came in with a vengeance in the morning. They all need replaced and some curtains added too. Overall the decor is very dated and in need a full refurb incl mattress. The hot water does not work and there is no plug for the sink. There is no Oven! A microwave does not constitute an oven for cooking.

Too basic for us, especially the bed space

I had a great stay at this studio. It had everything I needed, and the amenities were excellent. The location is perfect ,very convenient and close to everything. It also had beautiful views, and the area was very quiet and peaceful, which made the stay even more enjoyable. The host was extremely helpful and responsive, always willing to assist whenever I had questions. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it! John

The only good point was the location

No hot water, had to boil a kettle to wash dishes, no plug or draining board, no WiFi, no TV, toilet seat loose, very dated bedding, shower Luke warm and no power to it, decor definitely needs updated, reminded me of the 1970's not good! 4 flights of stairs, no lift, not for the faint-hearted! I think what really annoyed us was that upon arrival, I contacted the owner about the lack of hot water, totally blanked me, still no reply, on our way home now, thank goodness, looking forward to a nice hot shower and home comforts

Good transport links nearby and not too far from the station. The place was clean and tidy when we arrived with welcome snacks too! For one night it’s not a bad price

No wifi and we didn’t know that the studio did not have a lift. Although we made it work and wasn’t a bad stay for one night could be a little cheaper tho but overall good stay

Exactly what we needed

Parking - it was a little tricky to find a spot but not impossible. Toilet seat needs a repair. But not a problem. A few more milk cartons would have been nice for extra cups of tea.
