Cresta House - Modern Apartments

Got ripped off as my wife and I aren’t in best of health. Couldn’t make the 3 flights of stairs and the Lift (elevator) was not working. We were told the the lift is an amenity and supposedly was removed.

We were told we should have told them about our health and they would’ve tried to put us on the first floor. They didn’t have any on the first floor so we went elsewhere and lost our $$$

The location itself was great; however, our flat faced the main road, which meant there was an unbearable amount of noise. The constant commotion made it far from ideal, especially as we had no choice but to keep the windows open during the hot summer, given that the flat had no air conditioning.

The location was great, but unfortunately, our experience was far from ideal. Our flat was on the 3rd floor, and the lift was out of service for our entire month-long stay. Other residents mentioned it had been out for nearly five months, which made carrying luggage and daily essentials up and down the stairs very difficult, especially as a family. The flat faced the main road, so the constant noise and commotion were overwhelming. With no air conditioning, we had no choice but to keep the windows open during the hot summer, which only made the situation worse. Additionally, police patrolled our floor and even mentioned that the third floor was known for antisocial behavior, which was unsettling. On top of that, the shower was leaking constantly, and the place in general felt like it was in a state of ongoing wear and tear. Overall, while the location itself was convenient, the living conditions and building issues were extremely disappointing.

Just the location.

We couldn't get our keys from the nearby newsagents which was closed because our flight was delayed by a half hour, and so we had to get a taxi and pay for the night in a hotel. The room was nothing like the one advertised, it was tiny the sofa-bed was in the kitchen when opened. There was no door between the bedroom and the living room, And the building entrance, lift and corridors were very dirty and smelled horrible.

The location was okay but no break fast option

Unfortunately, our experience at this property was far from satisfactory. The elevator remained out of service throughout our entire stay despite multiple requests to have it repaired. With young children and elderly family members, climbing four flights of stairs daily was both inconvenient and exhausting. 🔧 Several amenities also fell short of expectations: - The initial WiFi password provided did not work. - Kitchen equipment was of poor quality, with some items broken. - The TV was unusable due to missing batteries in the remote. 🚨 To make matters worse, we witnessed a man getting trapped in the elevator, which required intervention by the local civil fire guard and took an alarmingly long time to resolve. ⚠️ In addition, the staircases pose a serious safety hazard: the rough, untiled concrete with sharp edges is particularly dangerous, especially considering the lift was unusable. 👎 Overall, I would not recommend this property to families or anyone traveling with children. Basic safety and functionality were lacking, making the stay extremely challenging.

Clean & quiet, despite being in a very busy area. Helpful amenities provided, including basic items like tea, coffee, sugar, dishwasher liquid, washing tabs.

The interior of building was like a sauna. Overwhelmingly hot. Fortunately there are 3 windows which could be kept open at night, as our visit was during a heatwave. The sofa bed is very uncomfortable & unsteady.
