Better than I expected

This accommodation is in a class of its own, a true Korean hanok. An unforgettable overnight experience, located in the middle of tranquillity and nature. You can't get more authentic than this. Perfect! The owners are incredibly friendly and helpful. We travelled by public transport, which is possible due to the nearby train station. Good opportunity to visit the Daehan Dawon green tea plantations or Nagan Folk village from here.

This Joseon era home was a wonderful experience. Our room felt authentically Joseon (except for the AC, the fridge stocked with cool drink, and the modern bathroom across the courtyard) but that was the experience we wanted. Due to heavy rains, we were unable to explore the tea fields our first day, which was why we went to Boseong in the first place, but instead we explored the beautiful property and were thrilled by the graciousness of our hosts who introduced us to Boseong and Sunchon. We didn't make it to the tea fields until we were leaving the area, but our experience staying here was unexpectedly special.

The authenticity of a traditional Korean Hanok, the beauty of the surroundings and the welcoming warmth of our host.

We had initially booked two rooms for our family of 6 but due to bad weather there were some last minute changes and the host was unable to rent two rooms as initially planned. There were some works undergoing in the compound patio and it felt messy but this is a force majeur situation and hardly the host’s fault. We finally ended up being a party of 5 and we were very happy to fit in one room where we were ultimately very comfortable.

Beautiful traditional house & very, very friendly English speaking hosts! 20min from the Boseong Green Tea fields.

The bathroom was in another building, which is a bit annoying with all the bugs outside at night, but it makes sense if you consider this is a traditional Korean house.

We arrived after dark so we had a smidge of difficulty locating, but owner got on phone with us and walked outside and down to the road to wave us down and direct us to her property.
