The owners need to understand that if you spent a little more on tiny stuff i.e. spoons etc your guests would have a better time and you'd get a better review. You need to up your game. Sorry.

Location is great. The place is clean. Nearby is parking where you have luck and find a spot you can keep your car for 15 min to leave your bags. To park the car without struggle, you should park in the Almirante Reis Car Park. Costs 15e a day. In the apartment, there is a toaster, fridge and kettle. So maybe you can have breakfast there. We didn't try. You can do the laundry and iron your things if you have to. We've spent 5 days there. It was okay.

There is a huge need for shelves in the bathroom. We had to keep our stuff on the floor. Maybe this chair, where at first were kept our towels were meant to be a shelf. But with really low cost, you can find a better solution :) The place doesn't have a/c. It was not a problem at the time we visited (May). But I can believe that when the temperature gets higher, it can be a problem. There was a fan. But it's not the same.

The location was great, couldn't be beaten, near old town and new town and bus stops, the staff was very friendly and responsive, the place was a good size with twin beds in each room.

Would have been nice to have mid week clean offered but new towels kindly provided when requested.

First and foremost I did not like the condescending and impolite service. The room itself did not block any noise from upstairs or waching machine that is by the wall in the corridor. Next door neighbours are also interesting crowd so be ready to be woken up at 6.00 AM. Also there is just improvised shelf with cups, cutlery but you need to wash your dishes in the bathroom sink. If you dare to complain, I can already tell you owners' response - no, the latch is not broken or you cannot operate the latch up and down or no one complained about it. This will make you feel like Karen while you only want to feel safe in your room and able to lock the room with daylight. Also, be prepared to have cockroaches as your roommates. Extra points to accomodate earlier check-in and leaving the room scent-free. All in all a terrbile experience, the worst I have had with booking.

Exceptional location - in the centre of Funchal with all amenities and attractions (or access to them) just a few minutes walk away. Accommodation was spacious and provided most of what we needed for our week's stay - two double bedrooms with TV and plenty of open storage. A large bathroom with a lovely shower. A basic (internal) kitchen with a small hob and microwave, but no oven. Beds were reasonably comfortable but would have benefitted from a proper divan base or wooden frame, and there was plenty of extra bedding if you needed it. There was a communal washing machine just outside our door which we used a couple of times - very useful to have! New Year in Funchal was absolutely fabulous! There was a real party atmosphere on the streets and so much to see and do, a lot of which was free of charge. The Christmas lights were beautiful and walking along the harbour promenade in the evening was something else - a massive funfair, free music concerts and tasty street food on offer.

The only seating area was a table and chairs for 4 in the kitchen. We would have preferred a small sofa in one of the bedrooms - there is enough space!
