The World Backwaters, Alleppey

Excellent location, impeccable service and courteous staff. Room was near the lake and was comfortable. They have outdoor sitting as well to let u relax in morning and evenings. Special mention to entire Restaurant team who took care of our smallest of requests. Other staff were also very accommodative with a smile on face

We had an amazing stay at The World Backwaters Resort! The location is breathtaking, with serene backwaters and lush greenery. The resort offers great activities, including boat rides, spa and pool. Our Executive Villa with private pool was incredible! Spacious, well designed, and equipped. Great value for money. Highly recommended for families and friends. Perfect for escaping city life and experiencing nature's tranquility!

Fantastic find in the heart of the backwaters. Right on the lake with serene views and wonderful ambience. The staff were so attentive, spa/massage excellent and the pool is great for a dip- especially at sunset. Rooms are big and well equipped. I would say “classic/traditional” in design, not modern, but characterful. The breakfast was plentiful and restaurant menu extensive, well priced and delicious. Wish I’d stayed longer to savour more of the options! A few nice (free) extras were a pleasant surprise during my stay, including a high-tea mid afternoon, followed by a short cooking class. The staff can also assist with boat trips which pick up directly from their own private jetty! I recommend this resort 100% and the friendly, polite staff make it feel so welcoming.

Location was stunning, overlooking the backwaters. Set in beautiful grounds with lovely garden areas and a good size pool. Excellent restaurant managed by chef Prateesh who was very hospitable and manages his team efficiently. Very peaceful area and lovely staff.

Mark up on activities was high (i.e., price of boat trip compared to cost in Allepey). Private boat tour was nice, but an option to share with others would be more environmentally friendly. The owners will need to invest in modernising the rooms soon, they are clean and functional but decor is starting to look a bit dated.
