Black Sand Camp

Very quiet and relaxing with lots to do

Activities and meals were quite expensive compared to others. The food is prepared by a restaurant off site. The food is good, Turkish and local option but costly for what you get.

We stayed in a very comfortable igloo tent - it was really like a hotel room. Wonderful dunes around the camp. Tasty, very large dinner, after dinner a bonfire - together with a nice owner and driver of an off-road vehicle (any evening point), local, tasty tea made of mountain herbs, stories about the desert and possible attractions in this part of the country - of course it was our decision to sit with the rest of the people. We also took advantage of a 3-hour 4WD desert trek,, exciting dune descents - we recommend the place and attractions

the water in the bathroom was quite cold in the morning - maybe because we got up early and the solar panels had not heated it yet

A wonderful, must place to visit for all visiting oman for authentic omani experience. The host and staffs are excellent with their service.

I had an excellent experience at this property. The hotel was super clean and well-maintained, which made my stay very comfortable. The atmosphere was welcoming, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. On top of that, the price was very reasonable for the quality provided. Overall, it was an outstanding experience, and I would highly recommend it to others!

The only thing I didn’t like was that there was no Wi-Fi available for me, which made it a bit inconvenient since I didn’t have a local SIM card or data in Oman. However, aside from that, everything was excellent. The property was great, and it was an overall wonderful journey for me

Very nice place in a good position far from other camps. We stayed in the dome, it is wonderful and comfortable! We had a very hearty dinner and breakfast. All was very good. Strongly recommended place.

Salem was a great host. The location in-between the desert and the wadis was ideal to visit the region. Superb experience

The accomodation was clean, modern and in a nice place. Host contact us and help us with check in. It was nice from him.

When we arrived, host just dissapear and in the camp nobody stay. We were there alone. It was bit strange, but ok. We expected some welcoming at least and more that we will have breakfast, cause it was written in information. Thats why was luxury tent a little expensive cause we didnt had food.

The camp is in a wonderful area that is very quiet and secluded, yet not too far away. The firepit sitting was wonderful. The domes and tents were clean, comfortable, and of high standard. Dinner and breakfast were both filling and tasty. Salim and Humaid were extremely gracious hosts. I literally could not ask for anything better! Overall this was an exceptional stay!
