Tropical Jungle Villa 5 min walk to Cloud 9

The pool was okay, although not very clean.

We had a very unpleasant experience at this villa and want to warn future travelers before they make the same mistake. There are significant issues with this property that made our stay extremely uncomfortable. First and foremost, be aware that there are two separate villas on this property. One is by the pool and looks more decent (perhaps suitable for families), but the other, where we stayed, is tucked away in a corner near all the waste from the kitchen and bathroom. This area is a breeding ground for insects. During our stay, we encountered several roaches, mosquitoes, spiders, and even hermit crabs. It felt as if we were living outdoors, with the bathroom surrounded by overgrown trees and weeds, adding to the unpleasant atmosphere. The room itself was poorly maintained. It had no proper ceiling cover, and the only thing separating us from the outside world was a flimsy fly net around the bed. Needless to say, this did not keep the bugs out. The lack of air conditioning added to the discomfort, especially in warmer weather, as the two small fans provided little relief. The worst part of our stay happened one morning when, just two minutes after we woke up and took a shower, an old man and the house caretaker walked straight into the room and bathroom without any warning. The invasion of privacy was shocking. When we reported this to the landlord, his response came two days later, and all he said was that he had no idea who the man was. This left us feeling extremely unsafe and uncomfortable for the remainder of our stay. Additionally, the kitchen and bathroom were in poor condition upon arrival. It seemed as though they hadn’t been cleaned in a long time. To top it off, the water hose in the toilet was filthy, still showing signs of the previous guest’s use, which was absolutely disgusting. If you’re considering staying here, think twice.

Nice leafy and quiet property, private from the other villa.

Location was not as advertised, about 500m away but important. Also had bugs biting me in the bed, not bed bugs, but ants. No way to stop them really so developed a rash over the week. Fridge kept breaking which was painful. No cold water or food in a hot climate. WiFi never worked for me so couldn’t work from my villa. Had to go find a cafe to do anything. Slow communication, sometimes days to respond.

We were impressed by the beauty and the vibe of this place. We loved the pool and the veranda to chill. The house has a beach vibe (so don't expect 5 star cleanness). Beds and rooms are made up every day. Its very quite area but at walking distance to Cloud9 and General Luna is easy to reach by tuktuk. We had great contact with the owner, whenever needed, and we could even extend our stay by 2 nights by some organising, which was great service.

Nothing! I would definitely book it again if we would someday return to Siargao...

Little jungle paradise in general luna, stayed with 3 kids and enjoyed from the nature stepping our door. Very close to 9 cloud and allowed us to walk there easily.

Location and the potential of the place.

The place looks pretty, but has so many flaws: our last draw was seeing rat poo everywhere in the house. (See picture) Other flaws: -airconditioning in one room doesn’t work, but after talking to the maintenance guy, it seems like a known problem as it needs fixing that is apparently known longer. -airconditioning in the other room is soft -internet doesn’t work, again, seemed to be a known problem after talking to the technician. He even thought that the bill wasn’t paid. It has nothing to do with the lack of the island’s “normal signal weaknesses”. -the bottom of the pool is slimy. Obviously not clean. My two young kids and husband went in the pool, and got diarrhea not long after. We were a group of 6, and the other three that didn’t go in the pool but ate the same as the others were not sick. -the kitchen was dirty and smelled like a sewage. -the water container was moldy. -the house was dirty in general (super filthy) (see picture) -missing light bulbs in lamps, or not working lamps -one fan in the outside area wasn’t working -kitchen sink looks like it was used and left the rags there for ages (see picture) -there was opened stuff left out in the open. Looks like from previous stay. We checked in around 3pm, and checked out at 8pm. A cleaner never arrived. Two maintenance guy came, but concluded they couldn’t fix airconditioning nor internet and left without solution and wasn’t reachable after (according owner). This place definitely has potential. But an absolutely no go with the current state, no matter how much they charge. Owner said she messaged Booking.com for our refund. But after 2 weeks, nothing yet.

Good location, good size for group ... just so expensive for what you get, we didnt even get coffee or cold water.

I was really looking forward to this stay, there were so many buge - no mosquito nets and the entire house/ pool was really dirty for us. The electric went off for 10 hours one night and we couldnt get AC or even see infront of us - worst night sleep I have ever had and I only managed maybe 1/2 hours maximum. I tried to get a slight refund as we had the most terrible experience without any electrical and this was denied.

Our stay at Secret Pool Villa Tuason Beach was nothing short of perfect! From the moment we walked in, we felt right at home. The villa is clean, beautiful and homey. The beds are comfortable, and the rooms had a cozy, inviting atmosphere with fresh flowers that we loved. The pool area is super nice as well, and their garden is beautiful. The air conditioning worked well. The location couldn't have been better – just a short distance from Cloud 9 and Tuason Beach, which are the best spot for surfing. Plus, there are a few restaurants nearby. It’s close to everything yet you can still enjoy peace and quiet. The caretakers were super nice too, very respectful and shy, they come to clean every morning even if they didn’t have to.. We had an amazing time and would highly recommend to everyone. We can't wait to stay here again!

Everything was perfect. It’s perfect island house getaway. If you’re looking for a home away from home this is the place!

The location and pool was great

The apartment wasn’t clean, low water pressure for the shower, WiFi didn’t work in our stay, some cockroaches in the rooms and the AC didn’t work and we got the notice the same day we checked in, booking didn’t offer any help and there wasn’t a better solution than stay there the period we booked. I guess we were unlucky as the owner got an accident when we were getting there.
