Tropical Jungle Villa 5 min walk to Cloud 9

Amazing location , super hidden and at the same time super central . Great space , pool is amazing and house in general is just a great escape from the buzzy everyday life

The location

The ACs don’t work well. One bedroom has a AC that constantly cuts off. The villa does not have WiFi. Which seems to have been an ongoing issue. The shower is horrible. The toilet bidets don’t work well at all.

Our stay at Secret Pool Villa was just amazing, what a beautiful house with spacious rooms and stunning decor, the large pool surrounded by plants was definitely the highlight, we felt like we were in the middle of the jungle, the location is excellent right next to cloud 9 and a few minutes drive from of the General Luna Centre, our host Sheena was super friendly and made sure we had everything we needed, Overall our stay was 10 out of 10!

When we arrive the leftover shampoo, soap from other guests are still there. I think the pillowcase and linens was not replaced because it doesnt smell like new laundry. The other room smells sour like its coming from the aircon. Has cockroach 🪳 in the kitchen. The bathroom downstairs is quite silly because it has window at your back when you use the toilet and behind the window is the house of the caretaker. So whenever you wipe your butt the people outside can easily saw it. Lol

I booked two nights stay at this villa but decided to leave after less than one hour as it was obvious that the place had not been cleaned. The pool was filled with leaves and other trash, i found an empty beer bottle by the pool, the bathroom was distusting and the room was filled with bugs/Spiders and spider webs. I tried to reach out to the owner in hopes of them fixing the situation but they were not reachable despite many attempts. I left to stay in another hotel which was 1/5 of the price and acctually clean.

I pretty much didn’t like anything about this property. And oh the owners behaviour was even worse than the property. I was promised a refund but never got one instead the owner try to blame nature and belittle me. Please note that i have stayed in hostels throughout the philippines for 1/10 of the cost and never had any issues of these sorts..

- Most of the lighting in the bedroom was broken so it got very dark in there after sunset - The gas ran out halfway through cooking our Christmas meal. The owner was responsive but not apologetic. We had to go and take the gas canister from next door’s property - The water also ran out at the property so we had to wait for this to be fixed before we could wash anything up I understand all of these issues can arise, however a more apologetic approach/offering something to acknowledge the inconvenience caused would be great!
