Stay with Robin

The location was lovely, very remote and peaceful. We enjoyed seeing the geese and chickens in the garden which was well looked after. We had breakfast outside which was very pleasant and our host Robin was very informative and friendly. Delicious continental breakfast with homemade marmalade and a full English with fresh eggs from the hens.

It was all very pleasant and near to where we needed to be. It was quite tricky to find so worth looking on Google maps before you visit. There was nothing we didn't like.

Beautiful location, nice dinner, and a good breakfast. The cooked breakfast has gorgeous sausage, bacon, and egg all home reared. The property is secluded and some distance from the road. Be aware that the track is unmade, and low slung cars might hit the ground as there is limited clearance. Also, just down the lane is the Hannah Peschar Sculpture Garden, which is well worth a visit.

The shower was too hot, and it was not possible to adjust it. Dinner with Robin, Marie, and household was good. The organic pork, from his pigs, was lovely. However,not everyone might like the lack of personal space. Also, if you are choosing to have dinner with Robin, make sure you state if you have an allergies, etc. We like to eat dinner around 7pm and we requested that. Dinner was not served until 8.15, which was rather later than we wanted. The house is directly under the flightpath of Gatwick airport. There were no tea/coffee making facilities in the room, which is most unusual these days.

Robin and Marie were lovely hosts and welcomed us into their home which is situated in a lovely area and was very convenient for us to meet up with family staying locally. The bed was very comfortable, the shower was good and everything was very clean.

Tea or coffee facilities in the bedroom would have been useful. We were shown where everything was in the kitchen, and Marie and Robin always welcomed us, Marie happily jumping up to make tea/coffee as required, but we felt guilty disturbing them if they were cooking or eating their evening meal.

Our stay with Robin and Marie exceeded expectations. Robin is a considerate host and made sure we had everything we needed right from the point of booking to checking out. We dined with Robin, Marie and their other guest in the evening and had a delicious two course meal. They even made a special plate for my five year old daughter. Highly recommended.

Nothing - this stay is unique and off the beaten track. Recommend for those who like adventure.

Everything. Robin and Marie are amazing hosts, nothing was to much trouble. Fantastic scenery/views. Comfortable bed and a nice breakfast.

Tea or Coffee facilities available in the room would be a welcoming bonus.

Perfect place for people who are not picky. Location wasn't clear enough... However we were around the neighborhood, somehow I guessed the entrance. Balloons are supposed to wait for us. The House and garden like from fairy tales. Sweet welcome. Everything was shown by host. Clear , straight to the point communication. No misunderstanding. Amazing dinner can be arranged. Excellent red wine added to the meal. An excellent escape from the city and crowd. Close to the nature. Rabbits, deer can be seen. Beautiful bird songs around the area. Very nice spotless room. Comfortable bed. Nice shower/ bath.(2 in one). Personalized bathroom. Polite, funny, positive vibe hosts. Amazing much needed experience in general. It is different ( in a good way).

Unclear entrance.

Robin and Marie were incredibly hospitable. I lived in the village for 25 years, although surprisingly we had not met before. It was fab to catch up on things that have been going on in the area. The house was easy to find, opposite Gatton Manor, the room was great because it was on the ground floor (ideal if you have a heavy case), the location very peaceful. If I am staying in the area again I would definitely stay again, incredible value for money, and great company!

Beautiful quiet location, welcoming hosts. Very comfortable bed. We took up Robins offer of the meal and enjoyed dining with them al fresco, beautifully cooked and birthday candles in the Pavlova.

Under Gatwick flight path. Cockerel by the house. Shower has fixed, unchangeable temperature setting (which was too hot for me to stand under). Evening meal so very late at night, and didn’t feel good value at £35
