The Green Shack

The cabin was fairly comfortable, it was peaceful and the view was stunning. The local country food and presentation was typical of the place my wife and I loved. The food was brought up by our host Sebastien. He was always welcoming and ready to make our stay better. Although the cabin concept has not got the frills of a hotel but it has the charm of old time peaceful Mauritian living. We highly recommend it.

Amazing place, amazing food, amazing Sebastien!!!!

This is a soul place in the middle of nature. Peace, silence and such a beautiful energy. Sebastian is putting his heart in this place. I felt very welcomed and home here. I'm truly grateful I had the chance to enjoy this place and I will come back.

The host Sebastien is very kind and welcoming - even bringing us an extra fan as our little one struggled with the heat. Dinner was delicious - a traditional Mauritian meal (several dishes) served in a tiffin that was very filling. Breakfast was wonderful - so many different things such as omelettes/pancakes/fresh fruits delivered by Sebastien himself. The best thing is the peacefulness and the 11/10 breathtaking view. No picture can capture such a view all the way to the sea. A few games are available, bug repellant etc. We love that the place uses solar power and rainwater. Sebastian’s vision for this place in the future is very special and we look forward to one day return again.

A little too hot for our toddler. Would recommend a mosquito net for a more comfortable sleep.

Awesome viewpoint. Seb was a great host. Went to great lengths to make our stay comfortable.

We went in peak summer. So was a bit too hot, given that there was no AC or fan. However, Seb went above and beyond to get us a battery powered fan.
