The Green Shack

I liked the location, because it is very quiet in the nature. You look down to the village and you can even see the bay, bit the Shack is in the nature, like on a little farm, and yet you feel really sage there. You see stars, see and hear animals. It is a little bit up in the mountain, so cool enough at night even without a fan/ ventilator. Sebastien, the owner is really nice and helpful and relaxed. Not the right village, if you look for restaurant or bars.

So far there was no electricity to charge your phone etc. There is no fridge or place to cook. But Sebastien will provide you with hot water for coffee or tea and powerbanks to charge your phone (which works well) to make your stay as convenient as possible for you.

the location was absolutely stunning. Seb really did everything to make our stay as great as possible.

the facilities were very basic, so it was a bit pricey in relation to the facilities that we had.

The breakfast was absolutely impeccable; combined with that gorgeous view and the warmth of the cabin, comfort and contentment went hand in hand. I also loved how clean everything was. The bedsheets were fresh and not a speck of dirt on the floor, which sometimes you would expect with places in the mountains. But not this one, so pleasantly surprised by the good maintenance. The host is absolutely welcoming and friendly as well. We actually booked the place to celebrate my boyfriend’s birthday and the host, Sebastien, had someone make a homemade birthday cake as a gift to us. We could not have asked for a more welcoming gesture. 🙏Thank you, Greenshack! We look forward to more bookings with you.

As a suggestion for improvement, maybe include some more tools to lit a fire. It was hard trying to start a camp fire with limited tools. Reso maybe? Wanted to surprise my boyfriend with a camp fire and failed miserably. 😂

Gorgeous views away from the crowds up in the hills overlooking the sea and forests. Sebastian was incredibly helpful both before we arrived and afterwards. Also helped take us on a lovely hike to the local stunning waterfall. Included a lovely breakfast and you could also order dinner on top.

Was worried as we needed him to give us lifts (unless you have a 4 by 4) to the shack. It's a 10min walk from where you park but because it rained and I was pregnant we weren't confident to do it. However he was so open and generous with his time and availability it wasn't a problem. He is planning to make the road more accessible in the next year anyway.

I was awestruck by the postcard-perfect scenery. My whole family was in awe of the place. Even though there was not much to do, we basked in the beauty of nature; we loved the quietness, went for some trekking and spent some quality time with the family. I loved the ecological concept also...we felt reconnected with nature and it was above all a rejuvenating experience.

We loved our time up in the mountain, away from daily hustles, and despite the rainy weather our staycation turned out way better than we planned. Sebastian, our wonderful host, was very welcoming and did everything to make our stay as comfortable as possible. I would like to come again once he has his farm project up and running; the idea of picking my own veggies fresh from the farm to cook meals in the outdoor kitchen is something I really look forward to. This time we were pampered by having a hot continental breakfast delivered right at our doorstep by the ever smiling Sebastian. Though we all wished hard for the skies to clear just to have a glimpse of that amazing sunrise, it was not meant to be. Hope we have better luck next time.
