Breakfast was really good. Arrived the barman receptionist appeared to have been drinking. Saw him later in the street and had definitely been at the bottle. To be fair seved us breakfast the next morning, seemed to be bright and chatty.

There was no shower curtain so everything you had a shower the floor was dangerously slippy. Never saw a house keeper the 5days we were there so bins were over flowing in bathroom and room. The room could do with a make over very small window that wouldn't open. Had to ask for clean towels and toilet roll. We were not in hotel we were in the courtyard.

Breakfast was lovely, bed comfy, friendly helpful staff. Nice location.

Rooms weren't laundered, the hotel decor is very dated and shabby.

The location was good for our travels this time.

The hotel was a little tired. There were insufficient staff such that the staff there were trying to cover too many aspects.

The village was ok, but clearly not in its prime

It was tired and not particularly well looked after. Tables & cutlery dirty. Couldn’t get food after 20:00

Ruime kamer, mooi uitzicht. Goede sfeer. Goed uitgangspunt voor het Northumberland National Park.

Het internet viel tegen, dat werkte nauwelijks. In het plaatsje Belford is ook niet heel veel te beleven. Het gordijn sloot niet goed en de douche was behoorlijk verouderd.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Made us very welcome. The bed was comfy. Great location and free parking.

A beautiful, characterful hotel located in a charming village. Close to many attractions and natural scenery. Good choice at breakfast time Comfortable beds Friendly staff

The hotel itself, although charming, is in desperate need of an upgrade. Staff are run off their feet doing all kinds of tasks as there is no duty management/ management on site. Dining area disappointingly dirty, dead flies on the window sills that accumulated as our stay progressed, filthy cutlery and glasses. Again, a small team of staff isnt sufficient. A sad situation.
