Blue Bell Hotel

It was a good location for the things we wanted to do. There was a good cooked breakfast and evening meal.

The Wi-Fi is very poor, sometimes non existent. The plumbing needs updating and there were issues with the electrics at breakfast.

Very good selection. Ham and salami included. Really nice yoghurt. Cooked breakfast very good ! The male waiters were exceptionally nice as was the lady at reception. Handy location to visit the castles. Quiet village to sleep at night!

Nothing to dislike

Beautiful place. Perfect old-school English hotel. Restaurant and bar. Superb, gorgeous beer garden and lawn overlooked by a beautiful old church flying the St George flag. The kind of place that makes you emotional about England. Friendly staff. Good location for Bamburgh and Holy Island. Good cooked breakfast. We booked for just one night but I wish we had stayed longer. A really lovely stay.

I liked everything.

Really nice Hotel in the middle of the town at a 10min drive from Bamburgh castle. Nice, comfortable, cosy and quiet rooms. At the back is a wonderful garden to sit in and there is a bar with good ales. The hotel staff were very friendly and attentive, and we also had a lovely and unforgettable evening with Mark in the bar. Really good breakfast from continental to full english. Value for money top. A place where I could stay for several nights.

Central location

Nothing really, it’s old and a bit tired looking but I thought it was pleasant to stay in . Staff are all very young and run off their feet, maybe an experienced hand to guide them on shift would assist.
