Blue Bell Hotel

Looked nice . Nice location. So.e nice staff. 4 poster room was nice.

Play equipment not safe for use. No breakfast as "oven had broken" so just very limited continental and bacon /sausage rolls available Our family room the room sloped noticeably so when laying on bed feet were higher than heads.

i was told there was food at night, thats y we booked it but when we got there restaurant was closed was not very happy about this ,that was the hole point in booking this hotel ,but the breakfast was fantastic 11 out of 10

Lovely hotel steeped in history - the rooms are great and the food served in the restaurant excellent. There is a small shed for bicycles, the excess (cycles) have to stay in the covered area on the back terrace (or if you have an annex room in the room itself). We stayed twice once as a couple to reccy for a group six weeks later. Advisable to book the restaurant as get very busy.

There wasn't anything I didn't like, but I did feel that the place lacked an overall manager. I found it impossible to get a dinner B&B price despite the confirmation email saying it was available. (gave up asking!) The restaurant booking for 6 was in the book but not on the ground - it had been upped to 7 the week before, but that wasn't even in the book! It didn't matter - space was found. The staff on duty were well practised at sorting things on the fly. :)

Location close to where I wanted to be

Told on arrival the kitchen was being refurbished and no meals available on an evening. Later asked about breakfast and told I couldn't get one. Next morning getting ready to go to a planned road race and saw people going into the dining room. Asked another member of staff and told I had paid for and could have a breakfast. When I asked if I could have a breakfast sandwich to eat after my race there was no time left to make me one before I had to leave and book out time was whilst I was running. Room was pretty basic but clean needed a few repairs in bathroom
