"It was amazing our staying there, this place is really worthy to go"

10.0

Everything was really amazing, the staff is so kind - especially Felix and Nelson. The tent was very nice and clean. We love being connect with nature, it’s so calm and when you’re there, you might find zebras and giraffes on the way. The last day we did a walk with Nelson, and it was amazing, we could see giraffes, zebras, monkeys, and more; he explained a lot of things, while we were walking. They offer safari tours, and we feel was a really good price. And you can cook by yourself or order there. For the experience is pretty amazing!, and definitely we will come back again.

The camp: Every aspect of our stay was perfect. We arrived almost at midnight, but there were staff waiting for us when we arrived. They guided us to the reception and kindly arranged our meals and game drive for the very next day. They also escorted us to our tent, as the surroundings were pitched black. We were able to take a hot shower despite arriving very late at night. The first night was a little hot, but they provided us with a small fan, and the second night was even more comfortable. We didn’t see or feel any mosquitoes at all throughout our stay. The meals were hearty and good. The camp stay was a memorable experience, we didn’t expect it to be so cozy, comfortable and peaceful. The game drive: Our guide was Eric, he was exceptional to say the least. Not only did we see 4 of the big 5, we even saw a lion hunting a baby buffalo in group, and almost saw a leopard. The best part of the trip is Eric’s passion and patience in sharing about his experience and knowledge about the animals, his culture, community, and Kenya in general. He is always so understanding and accommodating, he always arrives early, and try to accommodate all our requests. He always greet us with a big smile and is super friendly and honest, we can always trust him.

"Surrounded by nature...close to Maasai Mara Reserve and a perfect way to unwind."

10.0

The staff was amazing! They took care of us and we even played cards with them, which was really fun. Felix, Nelson, Chef Nelson, and Simon were great! We didn't want to leave. Nelson gave us a tour of the land and introduced us to many flora and fauna. We even saw a beautiful snake in the trees (on our nature walk). There were zebras and gnu grazing right outside of our tent, which was surreal. Chef Nelson made delicious food. I highly recommend ordering breakfast, lunch and dinner. They also arranged transportation to and from Nairobi which made life easier. We booked a safari for two days. One day would not have been enough to thoroughly enjoy Maasai Mara. We also visited a Maasai Mara village. We didn't mind the village prices...though the prices are more expensive in the village-we are supporting this way of life that needs tourism in order to thrive. Everyone is so kind and respectful. I would love to return again!

"Very basic but correct place"

6.0

The staff is lovely. The place is quiet, 15 minutes' drive from the entrance of Masai Mara. Food is good even if there is no choice.

The hot shower was not working properly. Noone to clean the room.

"An Unforgettable Masai Mara Experience – Highly Recommended!"

9.0

We chose Kamba Mara Camp based on the positive reviews we read online, and honestly, we arrived with neutral expectations. However, from the moment we entered the property, our perception completely changed. The camp is located in a prime location, and even reaching the camp is an adventure in itself with exciting off-road tracks leading through the wilderness. One of the most memorable aspects was being able to spot wildlife right outside the camp boundaries, including hyenas and jackals, which added to the authentic safari experience. The hospitality provided by the entire team was exceptional. The staff constantly checked on us to ensure everything was comfortable and that we had everything we needed. A special mention goes to the Chef and kitchen team—the food was delicious, varied, and exceeded our expectations throughout our stay. The highlight of our trip was undoubtedly the game drives. Our guide, Mr. Allan, was simply outstanding. His knowledge, experience, and passion for wildlife were evident from the very first drive. During our two full-day safaris, he took us to incredible locations, including remote off-road areas, and successfully helped us spot all of the Big Five and many other amazing animals. It genuinely felt as though he had made it his personal mission to ensure we experienced everything the Masai Mara had to offer. Although we had agreed on 8-hour game drives, every single drive extended beyond 10 hours. Allan was never in a hurry to return to camp and always prioritized giving us the best possible wildlife experience. He welcomed us every day with a warm smile, listened carefully to our requests, and did everything possible to make them happen. Allan is truly a gem, and I would highly recommend requesting him as your guide if you visit Masai Mara. Overall, our trip was filled with adventure, excitement, wonderful hospitality, and unforgettable wildlife encounters. We left with beautiful memories and complete satisfaction.

Frankly speaking nothing as its worth for the amount we pay….

"The ideal stay for the Masai Mara to be close to nature"

10.0

Kambu Camp was the perfect stay for us for the Masai Mara as it offered a stay in nature for great value. The tents are beautiful and in the mornings you can have zebras and giraffes graze mere meters away from you. Everybody around us was absolutely lovely and the communication was clear, while always offering us independent options (like preparing our meals ourselves or organizing the safari ourselves). We even got a complimentary upgrade to a comfort tent due to low season - in general i would recommend the comfort tents as they all seem to be right at the fence to the bordering national reserve. The food was tasty and i loved that there were many cute spots to hangout. We organized our safari through the camp and had a perfect guide in Andrew. Also, the camp is owned and run completely by local Masai folks, which was important to us. Ache oleng!

The food was tasty and i loved that dietary restrictions for each a vegetarian and a gluten-intolerant traveler were cared for, but maybe as the cherry on top it would be nice to have a protein-replacement for the meat in the vegetarian option. That being said, after asking we received an extra portion, which balanced this.

"Beyond Expectations: A Truly Spectacular Stay!"

10.0

Our stay at was truly unforgettable!!! one of those rare experiences that feels almost unreal even while you’re living it. From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations in the most beautiful way. The accommodation itself is absolutely amazing. The tents are incredibly comfortable, with the necessary!!. Every detail is carefully considered, making it easy to relax and fully enjoy the surroundings. One of the most magical parts of our stay was the wildlife. Waking up and seeing zebras, giraffes, and wildebeests right in front of our tent felt like something out of a dream. Having these incredible animals come so close, naturally and peacefully, made the experience deeply special and unique. The food deserves its own standing ovation. Every meal was delicious, fresh, and beautifully prepared. The chef truly puts love into every dish💛you can taste it. We genuinely looked forward to every meal, and it quickly became one of the highlights of our stay. A huge thank you to the team, especially the Nelsons and Félix, who made us feel so welcomed and cared for from beginning to end. Their kindness, warmth, and attention to detail made all the difference. You can tell they truly care about creating an exceptional experience for every guest. The facilities are excellent, everything is well-maintained, and the internet connection was surprisingly strong and reliable, which made staying connected easy when needed. Overall, everything about Kambu is exceptional—the comfort, the service, the food, the atmosphere, and the once-in-a-lifetime connection with nature. It’s a place that stays with you long after you leave, and we cannot recommend it highly enough.

Everything perfect

"Wonderful glamping campground with excellent meals from which to visit Maasai Mara National Reserve!"

9.0

We loved the location so near the Maasai Mara National Reserve, just 10 mintes away. Loved our bush walks with Nelsen. He was excellent and showed us so many animals and the flora and fauna of the land. There were many giraffes, zebras, pumbas and others on our walks within the campground property. The other staff members were very friendly and helpful and we enjoyed getting to know them as well. The meals were very good and well presented. We enjoyed sitting around the campfire in the evenings with a beverage, This place is not fancy but has everything you need. We loved being able to book a jeep and driver guide right at the location. Loved our driver guide, Alan, and the jeep was awesome!

The road from highway into campground was bumpy going in but that hopefully will be addessed soon. We will come here again if we travel to Kenya again.
