Dam House Lodge

The place was not neat. I decided to forfeit and left the place the same evening. The surrounding is not taken care. The kitchen dirty. There clothes and carpets in the kitchen. The bedding was not washed. It was only overturned. Very disappointed and lost my money.

The place must mainted and hire people who can clean and maintained the place.

1. The bed was broke in the middle. 2. The TV needs upgrade and no WiFi was working. 3. Netflix was not paid up. 4. No staff on call.

A lot of stairs to climb to the room which was not mentioned. An elderly couple stayed there. The stairs are made of stone and not proper to climb. Especially at night no lights to assist with visibility There was no zink in the kitchen and the bathroom basin was too small for the kettle to fit.

The view is amazing, the place is beautiful it even had a naartjie tree. It’s near stores and restaurants.

The had spider webs and the balcony wasn’t properly cleaned. I thought they could have cleaned it much better. I had no kitchen and limited cutlery. There was coffee but no sugar

Caretaker Hosiya took very good care of us. He provided everything we needed.

No breakfast, housekeeping not good as I have seen cockroaches and spiders. The location is beatifull but you need to do some improvements on the address as we got lost for about 2 hours and the guy anthem phone can't give exact directions.

Good day   I had booked this previous weekend because of location, self service, aircon and wifi. Comments Phoned manager 7x without any success to arrange for arrival. After 1.5 hours I got hold of someone to open gate. The parking and garden was in a bad state en neglected. About 49 steps for pensioners.. Entering room...advertised for selfcatering, aircon and wifi... Only microwave and barfridge. 2x chipped plates en mugs. No basin for cleaning... Used basin of bathroom. Aircon was not working. Was hot. No wifi... thus no TV and could not send urgent emails. No towels in bathroom. Received 2x towels when we sign out. No soap or additional toiletpaper available.No glibes in 2x lamps The curtain in bathroom is 6 inches shorter than window direct over bath. Neighbours on common deck could look on you in bathroom. We put our own towel before window for privacy. There were no hangers for clothes in wardrobe. Toilet was not flushing... I opened and attend to it. Phoned and WApp manager several times, but he never came down to assist. Only reply that they are going to buy data for wifi. Was suppose to pay R300 breakage fee but nobody come to book us into room. If I can suggest something (that I regretly have done later) is that Booking.com and owners must read through all the negative comments about this venue to rectify the problems and create a smashing venue... It is possible if looked at the stunming views from the deck
