Helly mount inn

Very lovely place, away from the crowd and noise of Ella with an amazing view over the jungle. We saw giant squirrels and monkeys while having breakfast. The hosts are very lovely and going the extra mile to make our stay as easy and comfortable as possible. The room and bathroom are big and clean, with a good mosquito net, and a hot shower.

The location away from the crowd means it is quite far from Ella Center, in a steep area so not easy to walk around. We liked it but it is worth noting some tuktuk transfers will be required.

Abosutlely lovely family. Amazing and big breakfast. Clean room! Amazing amazing views. Good restaurants 10 minute walk away, town 20 minute walk away.

Just to note- nothing against the property. It’s up a big hill so maybe not the best if you have a suitcase (eventhough the owner was lovely and took it down for us!) If you have backpacks it would be brilliant. Watch out for the leechs going upto the hill!

Best place O have states in all Sri Lanka! The rooms is massive, quite comfortable mattres with a mosquito net all over it. The private toilet is super big, hot water and good preassure. But the best of it is the terrace with stuning views of the mointains, if you are lucke you can see monkeys, bats and all kinds of birds. The owner is a super lovely guy who is willing to help as much as he can. Good is just amazing! You get the chance to eat what a Sri Lankan family would eat every day. I don’t have words to express how good my stay there was. i would definitely stay there again. Super affordable price, honestly for me was like a luxury hotel, even better!!!

To acces your actualmroom You have to hike in the mountain for about 7minutes, but! It can be as your daily exercise routine. It is a but far from the Ella’s center, like 3km from it but it makes it super quiet and a excluisive place to stay. Honestly? There was nothing I didn’t like

We had a wonderful one-night stay in the guest room. The highlight was the breathtaking view of the mountains, which made our experience truly memorable. The room was impeccably clean, and we felt very safe throughout our stay. It was a perfect, serene getaway for both of us. Highly recommend this to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat.

Everything was perfect.

The view was amazing! This property is well managed by a family who welcomed us with a smile! This is a newly built room so it was so fresh and clean! The bathroom was huge and well equipped with a geyser etc. the bed was very comfortable! The room is big too with 2 bed tables for keeping stuff! They also provided us with a kettle; coming to the breakfast it was really delicious homemade food that was more than enough for 2 people! Their daughter could speak English too, so it was easy for us to communicate! The best thing was the terrace where , it was lovely having such a view of the mountains , I can surely say it was the best deal and place that we stayed so far ! The room as well as the terrace had complete privacy! And they also have fast WiFi!

Particularly nothing! They text and ask you about anything that you might feel uncomfortable with, but everything was already taken care of!

The owner very kindly picked us up from the train station in their tuk tuk and brought us to the home stay FOC. It is a large room with a big comfortable bed, with a mosquito net and towels provided. The balcony was a lovely area to sit and eat breakfast with incredible views. And watch all the wildlife. The food provided was great and the owners were very friendly and helpful. As we arrived late in the evening in the middle of the storm and it is quite a distance to Ella town (25min walk down hill or 10mins tuk tuk) the owners very generously prepared us an evening meal which was delicious. A very nice stay, close enough to the town but also up the hills to be peaceful with lovely views.

Newly built room run by young couple with help of parents in the top of mountain with a fantastic view. Having private bathroom with hot water,private balcony,electric kettle - hair dryer - electric fan - mosquito net🙂 Breakfast is served in a huge portion in the balcony..
