No aircon as advertised No tv Mould in ceilings

The owner, Jessie, and the staff were very friendly. Rooms were clean. Lovely Quiet scenery with some animal spotting, especially at night.

The 30km gravel/dirt road was not pleasant at all, especially driving in a small car.

Room and premises overall were neat, spacious and clean. Parking was close by. The staff personel Rene was friendly and helpful as we arrived late. She gave us a small lamp for the room, so there were minimal lighting. Traveled with one family member

The 30km gravel road leading up to the premises was absolutely horrific. Took us 90 minutes to get to the lodge and exactly the same amount of time when leaving the lodge the next morning. You have to drive extremely carefully and slowly to navigate safely. Unfortuntely there was a power outage since 5pm at the property and the power was still off when we left the next morning and no network, so we couldn't use the fridge at all, or charge phones, powerbanks etc. Food was quite basic but then they also mentioned that they had electricity challenges. Booking.com, direction google maps and waze information on the lodges need to be updated as it is not entirely accurate. Did the property meet my expectations? Yes and no. Unfortuntely these factors affect the rating.

The rooms are nice and spacious and well laid out. The whole place is very beautifully decorated and extremely clean. The staff and the hostess are very friendly and accomodating. We could see the sunset from our cottage and animals over the boundary by the pond and there was a nice breeze coming through the windows in the evening that made the whole place look magical. On a clear night you could do star gazing. The beds were comfortable and the food was very nice (plenty of vegetarian options and halal chicken).

The room we stayed in, was not as advertised in the pictures, we paid a lot of money for one night and was extremely disappointed in the quality of the room we received. There were no doors to any of the rooms, although a new building it was equipped with second hand furniture, towels and bath mats. If we paid less, we would have expected less, but unfortunately it was not worth the R4500

Beautifully appointed, friendly staff, very clean and the most comfortable bed!
