Lovely flat near University of Reading

Not much to be honest…

It was absolutely filthy, the man on the phone said he’d get the cleaners round but didn’t look any better, everything was falling apart! Door handles coming off, skirting boards on the floor falling onto my feet. Sofa broke! Beds uncomfortable! The door didn’t even lock!!! I’ve never felt so unsafe in a property before, tried to get in contact with the people and they never got back to me!!

Obviously the door handle and no key to open the balcony, they didn’t even return my call or turn up which I thought was rude. Half the plug sockets didn’t work and the central heating kept coming on at 36’c , which wasn’t nice, no instructions on how to use the boiler/heater controls. Tv too small for where the couch is situated , small thing I know but we literally had to move the sofa half the room so we could see properly, sofa not comfy either as it was a sofa bed.

The location was very good

The flat was very tired, broken door to the outside and generally lacking maintenance. Electrical sockets not fitted and others taped up. Massively overpriced for what it is.

Easy to find locations near shops and the flat was clean had all what we wanted.Kids had even snacks and WiFi was good Bedding were clean kitchen had all u wanted

The location was great, easy to get a bus into the centre

I did not expect to go into a flat and have to clean faeces off a toilet before I could use it. Or change bedding, use the dirty dishwasher, ,see dust on every surface,throw out a large container of sour milk before it exploded, not be able to use the bin because it is so full from previous users, hunt for clean towels. It didn't look like it had been cleaned from previous users. I was offered the cleaning fee back but this has not materialised

Was more like student digs. Not very clean; crockery, utensils and glasses really dirty, but not surprising given the state of the filthy dishwasher. Cooker hob and extractor hood need to be renewed. Door to balcony wouldn’t open wide enough to get out. Only mirror was in the bathroom over the smallest basin; cleaning your teeth only possible if your head was against the mirror. Poor array of old clothes hangers, some broken. Electrical sockets hanging off wall or taped up. Wi-Fi instructions were incorrect and needed to spend time sorting it out myself. Seems to be some sort of council/social housing rented on the cheap and let out at huge profit with no regard for upkeep or facilities. We were expected to stay there for thee weeks without any bedding change, left after two weeks as we had had enough.

Very spacious, well-kept and maintained.

The shower is a little small and the bathroom/kitchen is a bit discolored - could probably do with a touch up.

Truely lovely flat 5 mins walk from the University, ideal for local attarcations like Windsor. Very responsive staff, always replied to my questions within minutes, problems were sorted immediately. Comfortable for a family of 5, easy to get to, yet quiet. Free off road parking. Nice kitchen, good selection of pots and pans, famly sized fridge freezer, induction hob, microwave, toaster, kettle. TV had several streaming channels and strong wifi.

I would prefer cotton bedding.
