Stunning lodge nestled in a private reserve absolutely recommended

We had one of the best safari rides we remember. We saw lions hunting giraffes, white rhynos from very close, elefants. The nature reserve around the lodge is vast, with plenty of animals, and unlike Etosha cars are allowed to go offroads. We went to the lion feed too but we weren't lucky and lions didn't show up. We didn't have to pay for the activity, since lions didn't come. It was disappointing, but it's a proof that the lion feed is not a zoo, I'd definitely suggest to try it, the place from which you watch lions eat is impressive, it looks like a Jurassic Park movie. Regarding the property itself, it was luxury and comfortable, with a beautiful garden with a private waterhole full of hippos. You can sit there watching animals all day. Food was amazing too, especially the location where you have dinner

A suggestion, I'd put a glass screen on the safari cars to protect visitors from sand and wind while driving

Mt. Etjo Safari Lodge has a great layout to relax or recharge. You can observe wildlife up close since the animals are taken care of by their staff.

The shower area needs mats and safety upgrades so customers don't fear slipping.

The garden in the property is really beautiful and well maintained

The hotel experience, aside from the scenery/garden, was disappointing. The rooms are aged and poorly maintained, especially the bathroom door which is decaying due to lack of a shower curtain, resulting in water splashing issues. Our room appeared unclean, filled with insects (flies, roaches, mosquitoes). Despite requesting cleaning during our two-night stay, it wasn't done. The half-board option, particularly dinner, was unsatisfactory, offering only game meat, which isn't suitable for everyone. We requested an alternative on the second night but were denied. Service at dinner was also lacking, with no one taking our drink orders on both nights, despite staff passing by. Additionally, the game drive we paid for focused solely on elephants, giraffes, hippos, and rhinos, neglecting other animals like lions, cheetahs, and leopards. The guide claimed they hadn't been spotted, yet we barely explored the farm, leading us to speculate if this was to coerce us into paying for the lion feeding experience.

We enjoyed everything. We wish we had more time!
