Sir Andrew Murray House

Great place close to a lovely village, providing a great base for exploring and having lots of walks within a good distance. Ben A’an is just 20 mins away and is a gorgeous walk. There were plenty of facilities for cooking (air fryer, microwave, hobs) for being self sufficient.

Access was through the owner’s property past their very vocal dogs, which wasn’t a problem for us but if you don’t like dogs bear this in mind - it just meant we tended not to leave unless we were going somewhere. Got a little chilly at night but there were extra blankets and radiators to use.

Perfect location atiom to break from the Rob Roy walk. Small kitchen area was lovely facility

Casa di campagna molto accogliente, in mezzo alla natura e al verde. Padrone di casa accogliente e molto disponibile. Cucina fornita, letto molto comodo e coperte profumate. Televisione grande in camera con Netflix e prime video.

Bagno poco pratico per persona in sedia a rotelle

Hosts are super nice people and I was riding National Cycle R 7 so it was a perfect location for me. Quiet and super peaceful.

Strathyre has very limited services and I couldn't get any food services from the immediate area the one night I stayed.

Easy to find house and cosy room with to/wifi. Small but well equipped kitchen complete with tea and coffee plus breakfast cereals. Small seating area with table for meals plus outside bench and table in fine weather. Couple of minutes walk from handy local mini market which stocks a good range of foodstuffs.

The shared bathroom was fine but could be inconvenient if all rooms were full. Our room was next to bathroom/loo so light sleepers maybe disturbed… But the fact it’s shared is clearly stated and reflected in the room cost.

Een vriendelijk ontvangst door de eigenaar, waarna we de route richting supermarkt kregen, die dan helaas wel 15 km verderop ligt. Tip om vooraf wat boodschappen mee te nemen als je naar deze overnachting gaat., Er is nl een fijne keuken aanwezig waardoor we lekker zelf wat konden maken en er niet meer op uit hoefden. Koffie en thee is aanwezig. De kamer was goed en fijn dat we even de tuin in konden.

We hadden een kamer voor gasten met een lichamelijke beperking die handig was daar mijn zus ALS heeft. Alles is ook helemaal gelijkvloers, dat is fijn. Helaas heeft de badkamer een bad waar mijn zus niet in kon stappen, dus hebben we het douchen maar overgeslagen. Misschien goed dit te melden op de site.
