If you are looking to escape somewhere and relax, Shepherd’s Hut is ideal. Located on a working farm it is the perfect place to stay and escape the modern world. If you are tied to your phone and WiFi then it isn’t for you, there is no signal in the hut and that makes it perfect if you just want to switch off. Waking up to the sounds of birds, enjoying a cuppa whilst watching the farm animals, and just being able to unwind all make this a perfect location to stay. There are walks nearby, places to visit within a short 20-30 minute drive, but really…Shepherd’s Hut is idyllic and provided exactly what we wanted. Fiona is a lovely host, so welcoming, and is only a few steps away if you need anything. The hut has cooking facilities with a well equipped kitchen, the bed is comfy and the views are stunning. A lovely place to relax and have some peace.

The views are exceptional. The hut is definitely quirky but really nice. The milk and eggs were very welcome on arrival and the facilities were very clean.
The road is only one track and bumpy but we did know that before we went as it is explained in the description

The hut was very comfortable and had much more than we expected. We loved being surrounded by nature, having a tour of the farm to see the animals, and being on the doorstep of so many amazing activities. The hosts were very welcoming and me and my partner felt so relaxed and cosy during our stay.
There's nothing I didn't like about our stay!

Peace and quiet, watching the birds on the feeder, feeding the chickens, the view, the sneaky sheep and the breakfast hamper ( easily worth the £15 extra).
Not for people who need WiFi.
