The Reef Villas Uluwatu

Good location with easy access to scooters for transport. Very quiet and barely heard any neighbours. The staff were very friendly. Good location as it was only 5-10mins on a scooter to the beach and there were a few local stores/cafes at the end of the street.

Didn't have someone clean every day and when they did, sometimes missed things eg new towels, taking rubbish out.

Absolutely loved the style, architecture and the internal space was very generous. They are modern, clean & comfortable. It is a little off the beaten track, but only a 7min scooter ride to some main parts of Uluwatu so I don’t see that being a problem. Bathroom was a cool style & loved the sinking lounge. Staff were very friendly & helpful.

Unfortunately the shower pressure was terrible & sometimes no water even came out. I understand they are on tank water, but for the money you pay I expect a good shower. Bed was a bit firm for my personal liking & the outdoor area & pool was quite small. However the internal space does somewhat make up for this.

Stunning as soon as you walk through the gated door. Love the planting by the pool. In the lounge and dining area they have beautifully decorated the space with natural decor options, the sunken living room as plain but cotton cushions, the kitchenette has all the basic necessities small stove, fridge, microwave, pots and pans. Upstairs has the stunning master bedroom with gorgeous rattan furniture. The bathroom has polished concrete walls and black facets; basket lamp shades that line the mirror. One of the best hotel stays we had in years, just wish we had stayed longer. We loved it all.

The pool was on the cold side so we ended up not using it that much. It’s a little further than o thought from the main strip of restaurants and the beaches, so there is a relance on using Gojek taxis to get round, which we braved for the first time in Uluwatu.

Lovely new villa with a cozy bedroom and living room, and polite staff.

Out of 7 days of stay, there was no water at half the day on 5 days, the towels were very dirty and all stained, the yard near the pool was extremely dirty and was never cleaned despite multiple requests, and none of the management answered the phone numbers listed on the website. Summary: there are plenty of much better options nearby for the same price or cheaper.
