I liked the lovely garden

The people next door were super loud! Got woken up at 2 am in the morning with loud conversations and noises from their kitchen. Then again at 6 am in the morning with kids screaming and their dog barking. Overall I didn’t get a good nights rest. At least the staff were very friendly.

Supper was excellent. Room was very good. Bathroom was pretty, but a little clean up the mould in the shower and paintjob would be cheap and easy and bring it into the superb range.

One big dissapointment which made my wife uneasy, was the through door up the stairs to the next room. We could hear people and kids and this put a damper on things.

The dog right next to my room (on the property) barked constantly, making it impossible to get some rest. He would start barking nonstop from 5:30 a.m. During the afternoon, I wanted to sit on the stoep and read a book to relax, but the dog would not stop barking. I eventually went to sit in my very small room to get away from the noise. This was very disappointing, as I really looked forward to a peaceful break and sleeping in.

My stay was fabulous. Both of the rooms that I stayed in were comfortable. The staff were very friendly. I enjoyed the restaurant. I was served by Tagen who was friendly and efficient. He made great recommendations. His recommendation to choose the bobotie, "The best is Swellendam." was spot on. Thank you for a wonderful experience.
