Home Away Tioman Island

Simple and spotlessly clean accommodation with two large double beds and a nice bathroom. Large terrace right on the beach overlooking coconut palms and the amazing rocks of Tioman. Wonderful owners who hosted with kindness and genuine care. Wonderful breakfast and dinners available at their restaurant. Genting is a perfect place to unwind -quiet and the beaches are stunning.

C’était parfait … Bien au delà de nos attentes ! Le logement est simple mais propre, et la vue … whaooou, quelle claque ! Les pieds dans l’eau, au calme, une jungle luxuriante à proximité, des plages plus belles les unes que les autres et une faune marine incroyable. Mais comment ne pas parler de leur famille formidable (Cindy, Chukri …), ils sont ADORABLES, disponibles, gentils, attentionnés, discrets … bref un vrai coup de cœur. La nourriture est excellente. Bref, C’est un sans faute ! Bonne continuation et à bientôt :)

Absolument rien !

Genting itself is a small, quiet, laid back village far from the crowds and a lovely place to unwind and relax. The beach is beautiful and the jungle behind is amazing. There are monkeys everywhere! Mama’s Foodhouse is the best restaurant in Genting and the family who own it also have 2 rooms next door, which are identical to each other. Each room has 2 large comfy double beds, great air-con and a bathroom with hot water shower. Everything is modern and exceptionally clean. Both have amazing views from the balconies with steps leading straight down onto the beach. The wi-fi is fast. Value for money is fantastic. Cindy and her family are all really helpful and very friendly. I definitely recommend the snorkelling trip they organise too.

De ligging is geweldig. Heerlijk rustig. De kamers zijn super netjes (ze hebben er in totaal maar 2) ontbijt is iedere dag anders (pancakes, kip, toast) En Mama en de vrouw van Cuki koken echt heerlijk ‘s avonds! We hebben een snorkeltour geboekt, waarbij ze zelf meegaan als gids, waar we 5 snorkellokaties bezochten en we hebben buiten vele vissen en koraal zowel zeeschildpadden als haaien gezien. Ze doen deze tours allemaal met respect voor de natuur en dieren. Zelf hebben we ook een hike van ongeveer een uurtje gemaakt naar paya (het naast gelegen dorpje) onderweg vele dieren gespot zoals slangen, vogels, flying squirrels en aapjes

Genting is een wat stillere plek. Je ziet de gevolgen nog in het dorpje van de Corona tijd. Het plekje aan het strand is heerlijk! zeker de snorkeltrip doen! De eigenaar is heel betrokken. - het personeel is erg attent en behulpzaam

- een waterkoker op je kamer zou heel fijn zijn - een bedlampje. Zeker als je in de familie kamer slaapt en je kinderen al op bed liggen zou een klein bedlampje een aanwinst zijn. nu kon je enkel gebruik maken van de grote/felle verlichting aan het plafond

The staff were so friendly and helpful. The property was amazing, with stunning views. Mamas restaurant next door has delicious food. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
