Kaoglen Apollo-Hot tub-Cairngorms-Pet friendly

Was everything we needed for a weekend break.

Thought there should have been basic tea, coffee, sugar and more towels as was using same towels for hot tub as showering.

Location was excellent, very peaceful and a pub/restaurant with entertainment right on the doorstep. Staff at the Kaoglen Bar were super friendly as well as very pet friendly. The food was amazing as were the portions.

There was musty smell in the cabin, not sure if that can be dealt with.

Beautiful place, lovely scenery and chalet was clean and tidy and ready for us arriving..

Not a dislike, but we had the dog, and we had to keep him in and doors shut when we were in the hot tub as it wasn't fenced off, and he wasn't secure and didnt want to tie him up. Also, it could be doing with some solar lights riund hot tub for when it gets dark.. but it didn't affect our stay...

The lodge smelled like something had died in it. Hot tub was disgusting and filthy. We didn’t even stay one night it was that bad. Not secure for our puppy but was happy to charge extra but never told us this.

Really lovely secluded property. The place was clean and ready for us arriving and no interaction needed on arrival, the keys were in the door waiting. The hot tub was ready to go and there was a helpful information booklet advising of local restaurants and household information. The restaurant on site was only open one of the nights we were there which I was aware of and was a lovely way to end our stay. We were there 3 nights, one of the days we ventured out to Pitlochry and the other full day we stayed on site enjoying the peace and quiet.

The air conditioning seemed to be on the whole time which personally at night I felt was unnecessary and a little chilly but there didn’t seem to be any way to turn it off.
