Serenity by the Sea Ultimate Beachfront Escape

The location was lovely, and the size of the home was also really comfortable for our group of 6. The no contact check in process was also smooth. The beach opposite was beautiful to look at, especially when Sadie the Seal was visiting!

I had missed the no AirCon memo! It was very hot, especially when we checked in as all the windows and fans were off. The fridge and oven were also showing errors which was frustrating however they did work.

Beautifully presented with a fabulous kitchen with absolutely everything you need. Having a laundry was super handy. You felt instantly relaxed when got inside. Hearing the ocean every night was lovely!

You definitely need a car to stay here - but if you like to explore it was a great location to base yourself to experience what the North Shore has to offer.

Great location, lovely home away from home

There was a clear effort to make this unit comfy and welcoming, from cold drinks in the fridge, to plentiful towels, to easy entry with a provided door code and garage code. Good clear instructions with a photo of the building that was necessary to find it in the dark (we arrived late). Large, comfortable, and well laid out for a family or perhaps three couples. Nice patio facing the rear of the unit and a small patio facing the front with washer/dryer closet. Host was a good communicator via email/text the couple of times we needed to interact. There is a 7-11 within walking distance if you want to grab snacks, and a collection of food trucks a mile or so by car. The beach is across the road, and you have a view of sand and ocean from the kitchen window or front porch/patio. Not a lot else around here. It's about 45 minutes into Honolulu and restaurants/shopping/sights there, but this location is a nice compromise if you prefer to be outside the congestion of the city and want some access to the North Shore. I would totally come back here if on Oahu again. For a nice place with 3 bedrooms it's very reasonable.

The lack of chairs/table on the patios is an odd omission. It can get a little warm and humid (no AC) but opening all windows and turning on the ceiling fans make it pleasant enough. There is some traffic noise from the street, especially if a motorcycle gang is riding by on a weekend morning, but that's not to be helped. The garage door code worked well until the last night, so we parked in the driveway in front of the garage that night.

The facility was in good shape except for a few things

Are you out there the dining room light didn't work The sliding screen from the living room to the deck fell off when we tried to open it and then the ice maker wouldn't unlock and reset it turn the breaker on and off still wouldn't unlock and then the day before we left the oven quit working could warm up anything and then the furniture in the living room is real low to the ground The master bedroom bed is almost on the floor

I liked everything! The apartment is beautiful, in front of a friendly-kid beach. It has everything you need to be comfortable, a lot of towels and even stuff for snorkeling and playing on the beach (in the garage). The appliances are modern and in a good status. It has some basics like coffee pods, laundry detergent, dishwasher pods, paper towels, toilet paper, shampoo, conditioner, and soap. It doesn't have air conditioning but a lot of fans and if you keep the windows open it's nice inside (I don't feel like I needed the AC). Also, if you need a late checkout and they have availability, you can stay a little bit longer for a fair fee. The administrator is very reachable and responsive. For sure we'll come back to this paradise! Bonus: the place is a 20-minute drive from Waimea Beach, with one of the more famous waves to surf (in winter), and also there are plenty of good local beaches with few people. Very different to Waikiki, full of tourists. Also, there are a lot of good and affordable restaurants with local food.

Nothing, this is the perfect place if you want to enjoy Hawaii with your family or partner in a quiet way, far away from the city.

Street noise and no air conditioning were a problem. Fans were provided and there was a good breeze. Was not completely beachfront.

The location was great, remodeled and clean place.

The microfiber bed sheets were too warm. Need some outdoor furniture for the deck.

Many thanks for letting us leave luggage off a little before our check in time. We appreciated the beach boogie boards, chairs and toys. very nice kitchen, bathrooms and all floors

one bedroom ceiling fan remote did not work
