The Cartlodge, Debenham

A beautiful, immaculately clean, comfortable and tastefully converted cart lodge in a typically characterful Suffolk village. Plenty of space inside (even if it looks small on the outside), with a very comfortable bedroom with adjoining spacious en suite shower room on the ground floor, and a fabulous, bright open kitchen/diner/lounge upstairs. The cart lodge has been cleverly and tastefully converted in a way that makes it feel spacious, welcoming and private. We were only here one night but lamented not staying longer to make the most of all that this lovely space had to offer. Sadly we were in too much of a hurry to knock on Lucy’s door, but she was so easily contactable, always responding to my messages. We had everything and more than we needed - lots of teas, coffee, biscuits, games, dvds and a well-equipped kitchen. Lucy had even left us some fresh milk in the fridge and there were plenty of shampoos and soaps for the lovely shower. Cartlodge is ideal for a stay in a most beautiful part of the country, with easy access to the Suffolk coast, the lovely market town of Framingham and beyond. How we regretted not being able to stay longer!

At night, in the pitch black (few street lights - unnerving for us townies), it was a little tricky to find. But that might have been down to just us after a long day out n’ bout in Aldeburgh.

Had a lovely stay at this quaint and well-maintained place! The bed was super comfy, and everything was clean and thoughtfully set up. The parking space was ideal—easy access and very convenient. Great host communication throughout, super accommodating. I can recommend for anyone looking for a cozy and hassle-free stay!

Really nice property, lovely location and very quiet. Great to have an EV point to charge the car too - a real plus. The host was a pleasure to deal with.

There is nothing not to love about this accommodation. Every detail has been thought of. It is a huge space, is beautifully decorated, comfortable, and has all the amenities you could need. It is private, in a lovely village, and has a car parking spot right beside it. I could live there permanently!

This was a perfect getaway, just wish we could have stayed longer. Everything you could need facility wise, excellent hospitality and lovely location. Local amenities were great too. Communication with the hosts was excellent.
