The Black Dog Apartment

The room comes with a fully equipped kitchen and all utensils were provided, the bedroom and bathroom are both clean and tidy as well.

Some insects like fruit flies keep flying everywhere from the door, but we’re okay with that.

The apartment was clean and no different from you see in the pictures advertised. The surrounding area is beautiful and the zoo is within walking distance. Staff were more than happy to help even after the pub had closed. Complimentary cereal milk tea coffee and a few minor toiletries.

How far out it was as we didn't have a car with us. The pub closes very early with it being very rural. No pathways for about 20 minutes heading into dalton. Obviously non of these are actual problems with the property but I needed something

We did not expect breakfast as it was an apartment but our host had left a choice of three cereals and also some milk in the fridge which was a lovely touch and much appreciated.

A very tiny thing - the large mirror over the wash basin would be better sited on the right hand wall of the bathroom, as it was too low for all but very short people!!

The apartment was lovely, very clean and well stocked with everything you could possibly need. Bed was very comfortable and bathroom was clean and spacious. Would definitely recommend this apartment to anyone looking for a quiet getaway. The Black dog pub was a very welcoming place for a pint or two. Mark was very friendly and hospitable. We will definitely be booking again.

It's a wonderful place to stay

We loved the attention to detail; the staff went above and beyond in all aspects. They provided a baby gate for our little one and the bath tub and baby wash was a lovely touch. The apartment was spotless and beautifully furnished. It was excellent value for money and very spacious. We went for a meal in the pub in the night time and the staff went out of their way to make our experience a good one. Food was lovely. Excellent communication from staff prior to arrival also. We are hoping to book again for the end of the month. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Lovely apartment that had everything (and more) that you could need for your stay. Really cosy and the little one loved it. The kitchen in the adjoining pub wasn't open on our first night, no problem as there's a M&S Foodhall and Aldi about 10 minutes drive away (Ulverston), and loads of other options in Dalton and Ulverston to eat out/take away. (Kindly sent by the owner). Lovely welcome of milk, chilled water and tea/coffee and coffee machine... meaning could have a lush brew and relax straight away. Bathroom lovely with plenty of toiletries . Bed really comfy and relaxing after days out on adventures... really handy for zoo and aquarium. Had dinner in the pub, gourmet burgers, absolutely spot on and table reserved for us... couldn't have asked for more. Lovely little place and would definitely go back.
