Room plus en suite are very clean and a good size, good choice on the menu for breakfast, poached eggs are perfect, can recommend eating in for dinner too

Arrived at the inn to a warm & friendly welcome from David. We stayed in the only dog friendly room - Hope, which was a clean, cosy & comfortable. The room was a good size with plenty of space for our dog’s bed and bowls without them being in the way. We had a meal in the bar on two of the nights we stayed, they were excellent, well cooked and hearty portions. The breakfast was high quality and again a hearty portion! There is a lane just a two minute walk from the pub to take the dog for its morning and evening stroll, a torch is needed if it’s dark, there’s a bin just by the gate. We were made to feel very welcome by our hosts, David and Sarah (who cooked all the meals), we would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to visit this area.

What a lovely place. We received a warm welcome, despite arriving quite late. The rooms are really well thought out, with large, comfortable beds. We were given fresh milk (cow or plant based) to have with the tea and coffee in the rooms. The room was spotless and I especially liked the Molton Brown toiletries. The room was very quiet. We enjoyed an evening meal, very good range of traditional pub food alongside plenty of gluten free, vegetarian and vegan options. As a special bonus there was traditional live Scottish music being played in the bar. Breakfast was delicious with cereals and hot dishes on offer, once again lots of GF, veggie and vegan choices.

Our hosts David & Sarah were fantastic, both very welcoming and hugely accommodating with dietary requirements and scheduled arrival time. Our room was well kept and very comfortable, a great place to rest up after a long day travelling. We were both treated to a fab home cooked breakfast in the morning, Sarah is very generous with her portions so definitely arrive hungry! I’m so pleased we managed to get a room at The Plough Inn, we’ll definitely be back in future.

Beautiful pub and accommodation. The hosts are amazing and went above and beyond to accommodate us. Highly recommend. Peaceful location with easy access to the Border towns and attractions. Wonderful food all freshly prepared.
