Forth Road Bridge Views

Per chi vuole stare in un vero B&B: si dorme in una delle stanza dell'appartamento, che si condivide con la padrona Anne, il ragazzino suo figlio, un pappagallo e un affettuoso gattone grigio. Ci si sente davvero in famiglia. Anne è una padrona accoglientissima e mette subito a proprio agio. Se tornerò a Edi passerò sicuramente lì.

Trovare la casa non è semplicissimo. Cercare il numero 58; il vialetto d'ingresso poi prosegue e al fondo c'è il 60.

I can’t thank Anne enough for accommodating me for the weekend! This was the exact home away from home experience i was looking for - I wish i had some more time to spend there! The African Grey and sweet cat were the highlight of my stay, along with Anne and her son! They were all so welcoming, lovely and friendly to be around. The room was spacious with a large TV and window with private view, the onstreet parking felt safe and trustworthy. Location was absolutely spot on. 15 minute walk to the train station, 10 minute drive from the airport, the beautiful views of the bridges from the front of the building. It was the ideal spot, a home full of character at an extremely affordable price.

I had absolutely no issues whatsoever, and was sad to see some of the negative reviews! For other guests: If you are precious about your sleep and need a long silent lie in bed, this stay may not be for you. The parrot loves to make noise, as they usually do :P I needed to be awake early each day, so this it was very handy that the parrot will make sure you are awake in the morning! As mentioned, some may not love this.

It has to be understood that this is a home-stay. We stayed in a spare bedroom and were the guests of our host... home-stays are not motels. It was an opportunity to meet and visit with the family. We have stayed here before and found the area around the Forth Bridge to be a good place to shop and eat. A good picture of the bridge can be taken from the window of our stay, it is very close to the home. Our hosts drove us to their favorite carvery and made sure we were well fed before retiring for the night. The location was chosen due to its very close proximity with the airport in Edinburgh. We got up at 5:00am, had breakfast and were at the car rental early to turn in the car for an early flight out. We had a good night's sleep and a quick trip to the airport.

Good company and good food is nothing to complain about.

Fantastic communication from the host, Anne is lovely, very friendly and helpful. I was welcomed by the personable cat and the parrot. Room is spacious and comfortable, everything is clean, and tidy with lots of charm. The location is perfect for catching an early morning flight, especially if you are travelling from the North.
