Uros Samaraña Uta Lodge

四人房空間很大，熱水很燙，睡前會給暖水壺。房間內有暖火爐，所以室內空間不會太冷。

原本民宿當天晚上說可以提供我們隔天早上五點的早餐，但到隔天早上，我們在餐廳等到的是他們無法準備那麼早的早餐。如果無法準備，先讓我們知道，至少我們可以自己準備早餐，而不是什麼都沒吃，就說10分鐘後送我們離開。連簡單零食都無法提供。

Cesar was a great host, this was a very unique place to visit. With the minimalist lifestyle that the Uros people have, it was great to get a glimpse into their lives and to get to know them better,

It was the winter time of the year when we visited. They did their best to help keep us warm with a heater in the room and water bottles filled with hot water for the beds at night. The cold weather outside was very cold, but that is nothing they could have changed.

Our stay at Samaraña Uta Lodge was amazing and we would recommend to anyone. The lodge itself is right within the floating islands about 15 minutes from the port. The rooms are large and comfortable and we had no issue with it being cold. The heaters, thick blankets, and hot water bottles were more than enough and we slept well. Cesar and his wife were so accommodating and kind and they made our stay special. They are also so proud of their community and grateful to be able to share it. You could feel the passion they have for their lodge and home. We stayed two nights and on the main day we were there Cesar took our family and the other couple staying at the lodge on his boat around to some of the islands. We stopped at on small island where a few families lived and Cesar gave us a history of the islands and an amazing visualization of how the islands are made. It was so cool! They also had a small market set up on their island that we found a few handmade pieces at and then they took us on their tourist boat. The food at the lodge was also very good and all meals had more food than we could eat! Overall, this was one of the best things we did in Peru. A few things I wondered going in that I didn’t see in other reviews: Getting to and from the lodge - Cesar helped get us a taxi from the train station to the port (about 20 soles) and from the port to the airport (about 170 soles). Transportation to the lodge is then by boat. A tour of the islands is included and everything we were hoping for! Drinking water is provided and resupplied as often as you need. There is no bar but Cesar took us to a small restaurant during the tour where we got a beer to take back and have with dinner. Temperature: we did not have any issues with staying warm! During the day the sun warmed the rooms and at night there were propane heaters. (Though as a disclaimer, we are from a northern state and understand the cold)

This was more than just a stay, it is a full experience. The hosts were exceptional organising taxis from the bus terminal, boat transfer to the island, full meals throughout the stay, a guided tour of uros, canoes to use to explore the lake, we couldn’t have asked for more

Die Freundlichkeit und Dankbarkeit mit der Cesar und seine Familie uns empfangen haben war etwas ganz besonderes. Der Besuch bei den Uros wird uns als besonderes Highlight in Erinnerung bleiben. Alles wurde mit viel Liebe vorbereitet und es wurde für alles gesorgt; warmes Wasser, Heizung, Wärmflaschen und sehr leckeres Essen. Der Besuch mit Cesar bei seiner Community war für uns ein wertvolles Erlebnis das keiner, der Peru besucht, verpassen sollte.

La vue sur le lac était magnifique, le balcon était de bonne taille et les lits étaient très confortable. La visite sur l’île et les explications sur leur mode de vie traditionnelle était très intéressante.

Quelques rénovations pourraient être envisagées dans la chambre ainsi que dans la salle de bain. Il serait également appréciable d’ajouter davantage d’équipements, notamment des chaises sur la terrasse, puisqu’une seule chaise était disponible pour une chambre pouvant accueillir trois personnes avec lits doubles. Par ailleurs, une plus grande variété dans les repas serait souhaitable. Enfin, la présence de café filtre au petit-déjeuner aurait été un plus très apprécié.

This was maybe the best experience we have ever had (we stayed for 3 nights). Cesar and Lucy are the perfect hosts with their warmth and hospitality. They organized our pick up from the bus station in Puno and all transfers to the island. They reacted always super quick when we had questions or needed something. Also, breakfast, lunch and dinner were incredibly delicious (you could feel the passion they were prepared with). What impressed us maybe the most was the trip organized by Cesar to show us the Uros islands (all included in the stay). You could feel how important the tradition, values and togetherness of the Uros community is for him. On top of that, the accomodation is perfectly organised, has very comfortable beds and pillows, warm blankets and gas heating that will keep you more than warm at night. Cesar will also provide you with warm bottles to warm up your bed! Bathroom is spacious and we have never had problems with warm water. The view is unmatched both at sunrise and at sunset, and the location itself is stunning (staying on a reed island), something you will not forget in a lifetime. Could not recommend more to stay with Cesar and Lucy (also supporting local communities). I would rate 11 if I could.
