Opik Homestay Tete Batu

Opik and his family were super friendly! It was up in the hills with its own rice terraces which was very relaxing. We asked if we could help with the cooking for one of the meals and basically got a little cooking class. Such a cute experience! Whenever we needed something or had questions about the area, we could just message Opik and he would respond very fast. We were going to Bangsal Harbor after and Opik put us in touch with a friend of his who was already driving there and we got an insanely good price! (Less than half of what chatGPT said was fair) Loved it, would highly recommend this place :)

Hot water wasn’t working sometimes, but Opik fixed it quickly!

Opik er en frisk vært og også en god guide. Han taler godt engelsk. Opiks familie er venlige og maden er noget af det bedste vi har fået efter 1 måned rundt i Indonesien. Sengene i begge huse er også gode! Vi håber, Opil får sine drømme opfyldt om at bygge sit Home Stay større så længe oplevelsen er lige så fantastisk 😀 Vi anbefaler turen med Opik til rismarkerne og to vandfald. Husk gode vandresko og klipklappere til vandfald/vandvandring 👌

Opik is a great guy who put a lot of love into this special place. Had a great time there with his friends around. Great meals, monkey visits in the morning and so much serenity. If you want to have an authentic experience, definitely go there!

A beautiful Homestay in all senses of the word; in stunning landscape, it’s a true immersion in rural living. Facilities are simple and clean and enough for anyone who wants to escape the tourist towns and resorts on much of the island. Mt Rinjani looms just to the north, making it a great base camp to start your trek to summit; and you will be in easy walking distance of a number of beautiful waterfalls which we enjoyed swimming in. Opik is the best host - full of energy and keenness to ensure a perfect stay. Having been born and grown up in the village he has huge knowledge of the area and his community. Walking with him through the rice fields is an incredible education which I’ll never forget back in London when I devour my tikka masala ignoring the work that went into my rice. Food is great and simple - the fresh eggs and fruit complimenting fresh vegetables and more. A perfect place to nourish the body mind and soul. Thankyou Opik and family.

Beautiful location and lovely room. Opik and his family were all so kind and cooked delicious food. We liked it so much that we extended our stay. Opik took us out for the day and showed us the local market, businesses and waterfalls. It was amazing. We honestly can’t wait to come back!

The host and his family is so kind and welcoming, we felt comfortable in the first second we arrived.

Opik and his family were so so nice, we had food poisoning (not from Opik, we had it for a week already) and they were so helpful in finding a doctor. Many tours available and we were sad we could not do them.

Not always comfortable places to chill and hang outside of the room. We would have liked a lampshade.

We stayed with Opik and his family for 1 night and had the best time! He and his family are so kind. We had all of our meals there and you could taste the love. Opik had some recommendations for things to do and arranged a walking tour through the ricefields and waterfalls for us with his friend, had a lot of fun. Would definitely come back!!
