Polurrian on the Lizard

We had a free upgrade which was a lovely surprise. The cocktails were delicious, staff very friendly.

Service was quite slow, waiting staff didn’t seem to know much about the menu. Also seemed quite short staffed, not sure if that was because of it being a bank holiday. Room was quite hot, luckily there was a fan provided.

Wir waren 5 Tage zu dritt in einer der villas und diese schönen 3 Schlafzimmer Apartments waren sehr confortable und perfekt eingerichtet. Wir fühlten uns wie Zuhause und hatten alle Annehmlichkeiten (Geschirrspüler, Waschmaschine, microwave, etc.)sehr zu empfehlen, auch mit Kindern!

The views are amazing. The hotel was clean and beds were comfortable.

I booked this hotel for my mum for her 60th, I told them it was her 60th and no effort was made for her. I have booked this hotel for my brother and his wife before and they loved it but clearly the place has gone down since then. Mums review- The food was awful. Due to the location of the hotel there isn't many options of places to go and eat. We ate at the hotel in the evening, i had a steak which was clearly braising steak and not sirloin as it said on the menu. It was so hard and chewy that I didn't eat any of it. The overall service was slow and noone checked on us throughout the meal despite clearly seeing that neither of us had eaten any of our steaks. When someone finally came over there was no offer of anything to make up for this such as cooking us a different main and we were still charged the full amount. We went to the pool which when we got there we were told you are only allowed 30 minutes, despite there being noone else around to use the facilities, this rule might make sense in the height of summer but not at the end of April. The breakfast was just as bad as the meal. The poached eggs were hard all the way through and had clearly been made in bulk then reheated. The mushrooms were so watery they covered the bottom of the plate and had lost most flavour, the sausages were grisly, the bacon was solid to the point you could snap it in half with your fingers. We also left this. We were glad we were just staying for one night otherwise we would've starved for the duration of however long the stay would've been.

Hotel mostly great but slightly blighted by people above us with kids who clearly loved jumping off the bed (including in the middle of the night which woke us up). Renovations in progress too but the plans look amazing so I am sure when that is complete it will be a great improvement. Breakfast was good with lots of choice.

The water in our room took forever to get warm as we were at the far end of the hotel. Once it did get warm it was scalding so you had to be very careful. Soundproofing between floors not good

Perfect location . Staff mainly very young and extremely eager and friendly to please. Dog friendly.

Wi fi terrible. Work going on until next year on extension. Food could be slightly better and as very young staff , suggest need manager at hand all times to keep it running smoothly in food areas as lots of little mistakes. But they were all so lovely would never have complained.

The location is stunning. Right on the coast path. The restaurant was delicious and with amazing views. We got upgraded to the villa. A real treat. There are extension works being conducted so in 2027, this place will even be better!

Amazing location, great menu, plenty for my DF partner to choose from, staff very helpful. Right next to the coast path and a small beach. Sunset views from the bar in the evening and the outside terrace/garden very spacious and welcoming.

Genuinely the only criticism: I think they were short staffed as we had to wait to be seated for a while. They were apologetic when they did seat us and staff were otherwise great for the rest of the evening.
