Leeds Dock Apartment

The compact nature of the apartment is exceptional. Location is breathtaking and one can literally stay in this apartment and take in the ambience and the relaxing environment it provides. Kudos to the hostess for being quite accommodating and understanding to our various requests. The kind gesture is very much appreciated.

The apartment was very clean and comfortable and fantastic value for money.

Nothing, everything was great.

The apartment is bright and airy. It was pretty warm in the apartment, despite being late September, so we didn't need the heating. We even opened the windows through the night. We found the bed comfortable, but it is very low, so anyone with mobility issues might struggle; it is also just a standard double (feels small when you're used to King size). The apartment was well soundproofed - we didn't hear any sound from lifts, corridors, neighbours, etc. The bathroom was a decent size and well equipped. The kitchenette was ideal and stocked with coffee and milk, etc. and condiments. The host, Christine, was very helpful and also notified us that the apartment was available earlier than expected. The location was ideal for us, as we didn't have to negotiate the city centre. We also had a nice walk along the canal. A Tesco Express is just adjacent to the building, and a Pizza Express is 100 yards away next to the Royal Armoury building. All in all, a value for money stay.

My wife is very particular about cleanness (I'm almost blind, so I don't notice), and she felt it could have been cleaner - eg, the bin under the kitchen sink and the coffee machine needed attention. But it still gets an 8 out of 10 for cleanness. The security chain on the door is broken, having lost its half beyond the flat metal piece, so couldn't be used. Nearest parking for most people would be the CitiPark multistorey, which means you'd have to carry your bags 50 yards to the building entrance. However there are 4 disabled bays directly next to the building, which we used.

communication with host excellent. easy access. good description provided. everything worked well.

Facilities were good. Compact and well equipped with a tesco express opposite for any supplies. Excellent if you're visiting the Armouries. Christine is a very helpful and contactable host.

A little too out of the city. And a strange factory type night hum.
