Hakuna Matata homestay Mai Châu

The place was very cozy, felt like home. I arrived before 2:00 PM, the room was ready and they gave me the key. The room was clean, cozy. The breakfast was simple but definitely sufficient. There is a table with hot tea, iced tea, coffee and water for free use all day. There is a restaurant on site and people also come to eat there from outside. The homestay is in a central location in the town and you can walk to the rice fields. There are bicycles on site. The staff is great.

Location is great , family friendly helpful looking after your stay and telling you about the area , Definitely going back for longer next time only had very short stay

Vinh and her family made this place very special. Vinh uses locally sourced organic fruits and vegetables for her restaurant, and has lots of vegan options. There is always freshly-brewed ginger tea available. There is free use of bicycles, and she knows all the best routes to ride to the surrounding villages. She is very efficient in making whatever travel arrangements you require, even with special requests, such as front seat for someone who has motion sickness. There are a couple of guitars to play around with, and the two dogs are friendly, happy, and healthy.

Even though the building is older and the rooms are dark, they are clean and the beds are super comfortable.

Vinh and her staff are absolutely amazing!! They are amazing hosts, good food, allowed us to use the bikes for free and helped us book day long trips. I had an amazing time there!

Facilities could be slightly better but nothing detrimental was bad
