Hakuna Matata homestay Mai Châu

Everything was just perfect! Food was fresh and delicious. Even other travellers from other homestays came to eat dinner over there. Rooms were nice, clean and comfortable. There was everything you need. We felt like we were part of the family. If we needed any help with scooter rental, with transport or advise about different tourist attractions, then we got maximum help and support plus very good prices. After we moved to the new location the owner was still willing to help us with information and support we later needed. Thanks so much for the kind heart and the help you gave us!!!

This is the ideal home stay for meeting people as a solo traveler. Not only is it an incredibly friendly, welcoming atmosphere but the staff themselves will get to know you. Vinh, the host, is a gem. I booked a tour with her and it was like spending the day with a good friend. She also helped arrange transportation and patiently helped other travelers with their itineraries, even beyond their time in Mai Chu. For a 35 solo traveler who wanted a social environment without rowdy partying, this was perfect. The space itself was nice, the location convenient…I recommended it to other travelers.

Super nice owner! We travelled by bicycle and she gave us a lot of recommendations, water for the way and even bananas from her families farm. The room was very cozy and clean. Food was good and a l ot of vegetarian/vegan options. The Rooftop is a Highlight. Breakfast in the morning with that view was great!

Absolutely everything wonderful staff amazing food .The best place I have stayed in up to now in Vietnam and the other places were also great!! So Hakuna Matata is definitely 5 star

Wow! This was such a great experience. Vin and Juan are really the kindest people - so warm and welcoming. You can't help but to feel happy here. The rooms are cozy and the food is excellent! Great location. Nice vibes!

Homestay is more than staying at the home of the hoist but being treated like a family member. Vinh is a strong and wonderful woman who runs the Hakuna Matata Homestay in Mai Chau. Before I came, she organized the transportation and arranged a two days tour for me. Everything was so well organized that I didn't have to worry about anything. The room is very spacious and clean. As a city person in Asia, I need not worry about the air-conditioning, WiFi, everything worked very well. Upon arrival, Vinh showed me the beautiful area nearby. With the bikes they provided, cycling around the rice fields were really awesome. The meals cooked by Huang were terrific and tasty. They were so family-meals and made me recall the meals cooked by my family when I was a kid. The tours arranged by Vinh to the Mai Chau waterfalls and Pu Luong were great. The trips were by motorbike and the experience were great. All in all, Vinh runs the homestay so well with her family and staff. Great hospitality, spontaneous, hazzle free, family-like relationship with the guests. They set a good standard for Homestay 😄🥰
