Estate Houses at Carberry Tower

We were only there for 3 nights. Right from thd stat,we were made to feel very welcome. The lodge we stayed in wad simply gorgeous, loads of character ,clean and well stocked.

After a long day of trainTravel. It would of been nice to be greeted with a small welcome hamper, with the means to have a hot drink and a biscuit after our journey.The pillows were too soft and weren't supportive enough

The property was spacious and would have been lovely when new but they haven’t been kept in good condition.

The property wasn’t clean and had lots of wear and tear. Shower didn’t drain, dishwasher was clogged up, cupboards were full of crumbs and sweet wrappers, dishes and pans were covered in grease, cobwebs and spiders everywhere, cooker took twice as long to cook anything. The legs kept falling off the table in the living room and at one point the table fell onto my child. For a self catering lodge it was terrible and the staff didn’t seem to care.

Beautiful property, extremely well equipped and presented, in lovely grounds with hotel facilities alongside. Great location for easy reach to central Edinburgh by train in ten minutes; railway station about 10 minutes drive away and ample parking.

Nothing; it was ideal!

Very spacious property for 7 of us. Good location. Acres of the estate was good for walking around

Had to report missing items like the hoover. Property would have benefitted having a broom as leaves were blown in when door was open. The door mat by front door was too thick to go by the door to wipe your feet.

Location was very nice

The outside of the property needed a really good clean. There cobwebs and dirt on all the window surrounds and dead insects hanging everywhere, it didn’t seem as if the outside had been cleaned for weeks. Inside there were cobwebs. The extractor fan in the ground floor bathroom was not working and there were no toilet brushes in any of the toilets.
