Estate Houses at Carberry Tower

Location, and space

Dirty carpets/ walls. Dirty Shower and toilets required cleaning. TV and some raditors not working first night fixed next day. Leak under the main sink kitchen. Washing machine not spinning, odd mix of glasses, no oven trays, had to clean the oven. limited teaspoons, throw on sofa dirty had to wash. Stains on the sofa. Patio area dirty. No welcome pack, lack of information on rubbish and out of date visitor information. Cupboards full of rubbish, utility room smelly mop. This was really disappointing could be so much more, 3 night stay cost £1197, and for this I expect the basic standards to be in place.

What a beautiful place! Absolutely everything was perfect, wouldn’t change a thing. Both the house and staff were so welcoming. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay for our Edinburgh trip. There was a wedding at the venue but we were not treated any differently to any other guest - my husband was even offered a canapé when he visited reception.

I’m trying to think of something we didn’t like and all I can think of was that one of the knobs on the stove was broken, but the hob was so large that this did not inconvenience us in the slightest.

Those house was lovely inside however poor water pressure in the showers. Felt carpets were a bit dirty and no vacuum to run over.

Outside space. No outside lights so when using hot tub at night it was pitch black. Also felt the seating outside was very uninviting and garden could have done with a tidy up. Pavings were dirty and all the wet leaves were a safety issue. Outside could have been much tidier
