Danseys Pass Lavender Farm Shearer's Hut

The Dome was absolutely spotless and the hot tub was amazing. We thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience

The Dome was beautiful, made exceptional by the attention to detail with quality presentation of the accommodation . Eg Breakfast provisions , quality linen and furnishings. Everything was comfortable and up market. The setting was incredible. Host was welcoming and helpful . The stay exceeded our expectations.

No criticism.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Dome. It was lovely and warm on arrival (thank you Tim). We had taken our own supplies but were very pleasantly surprised at how well equipped it was, and I have to say, the coffee pods were plentiful with lots of different flavours. The breakfast options were great too. It was all spotlessly clean and the bed was so comfy too. We loved all the toasty throws everywhere, but they weren’t needed on our stay. There really is everything that you could have wanted in the Dome to make your stay special, and the nice quality appliances which worked well were also appreciated. It rained a lot, but still managed to get a hot tub in with the sunrise!! A really fabulous place to stay. Thank you for your efforts and details in making it so memorable.

Wished we could have stayed two nights and got a river swim in too!

Location was amazing in the Dansey Pass. The Maerewhenua river runs along the edge of the property. Great for a refreshing swim or fishing for trout. The sauna was a bonus.

It was all good.

We were welcomed by a very friendly dog, Ru, who guided me to the Shearer's hut. Tim (host) was warm and welcoming and made sure to point out all of the facilities and let me know my room was ready for me. I explored the grounds with my golden retriever as she played with Ru and we got to meet the horses, chickens and sheep. The river was incredible and I felt very comfortable there.

What a beautiful spot! Such a relaxing holiday! Loved the hot tub, river, beautiful scenery to walk and bike and swim.

From the welcome party (Ru the dog) to when we left, it was such a lovely experience. The Shearer’s Hut is a quaint, comfortable, and relaxing place to stay. Would highly recommend being here for more than one night as you get the full experience (not to mention two lots of the excellent fresh sourdough bread and eggs). The river is invigorating, the hot tub is relaxing, and the sauna is rejuvenating. A beautiful setting for a lovely couple of days away from it all.

A beautiful tranquil haven, Hamish had the spa pool warmed for us already!

Road is quite rough in bad weather- but that can't be helped!
