Sue Pa Family Trekking Homestay

Sue ist eine herzliche Frau die sich rührend um ihre Gäste kümmert. Wann kann hier wirklich sehen wie die Hmong Lebens, abseits der touristenströme. Bei der gemeinsamen Wanderung hat sie viele Sachen erklärt, bspw. Was essbar ist, welche Schlangen giftig sind etc.

My partner and I loved staying for 3 nights with Sue, Pao, and their lovely family. We chose this homestay for an authentic Sa Pa countryside experience in the valley and that’s what we got! The room had a great view and we enjoyed the company of her chickens, dogs and pigs. Sue cooked traditional Vietnamese meals for dinner and her pancakes for breakfast were delicious 😋 we enjoyed hiking with her through local villages. She was flexible with our walk time and speed. We highly recommend this homestay for those wanting to be away from the touristy area! Thank you Sue, Pao and family.

ヘルシーなご飯(夜ご飯はおかず4点以上と美味しいスチームご飯、パンケーキと新鮮なフルーツの朝食、ベトナムコーヒー付き。水は常にトップアップできる)と、トレッキングがしたくて、自然がたくさんで、動物たち(子犬、犬、子豚3匹、ガチョウ、あひる、無数の鶏たち！)も沢山いる環境を求めているならここ！ 4世代が暮らしている生活を垣間見れる。奥さんは英語を話せてトレッキング担当。旦那さんは会計と英語でのテキストでのやり取りをしてくれた。とても良い人達！ コテージに泊まったら、天空の城みたいだった、蚊帳もある。母屋のWifiは強力だけど、コテージでも窓の近くなら使える。コテージのトイレとシャワーはセパレートで、部屋の奥のドアから1歩先の外にあり、屋根もあるし完全にプライバシーは保たれています。 トレッキングは無数にアレンジしてくれる。わたしは6時間くらいのになったが楽しかった。私がいた時、他のお客さんは1人かカップルだけだった。ほかのホームステイ先からトレッキングを重視で泊まりに来てる子もいたから、ここは当たりなんだと思う！朝、少しのコケコッコーで目が覚めてカーテンを開けると、窓の外にはすばらしい雲海が広がっていて、本当に最高だった！

車を降りてから少し歩くのと、コテージは階段を登った先にあるから私はスーツケースがなかったら良かったと思ったのと、シャワーがぬるかったから、トレッキングの後すぐに浴びていた私には問題はなかったけど、気にはなった。

If you want a real local experience this is the place. Sue and her family are very kind. She also speaks very good English and she can take to amazing hikes through the small villages. It is a good area to rest and stay away from tourist. We stay here 5 days and we loved it. The bed is super comfy. You also have nice little cafes 10 minutes by walk. And also a very nice and fulfilling breakfast!

Leuk om bij de familie thuis te verblijven , heerlijk gegeten! Sue heeft het leuk geregeld en is een leuke gastvrouw!

Het was mistig en vochtig, maar dat is de tijd van het jaar. Toch nog lekker gewandeld en van het Tet festival genoten.

Our stay with Sue and Pao..a truly authentic experience: Arrived by overnight bus from Hanoi to Sapa 5.30am arrival. Picked up by a smiling Sue and Pao, then whisked off for breakfast. Full and refreshed, we set off on a glorious trek across the mountains, surrounded by blue skies above a thick cushion of cloud making you feel on top of the world. A great start to a two night stay. A long walk but worth it, fed when back and then a well earned rest in the comfortable cabin. Woke up to a fabulous pancake breakfast with bananas, honey, chocolate and coffee, before setting off for our next trek with Sue and two new ‘middle of the night arrivals’ for the day. Another great experience and a fabulous insight into the way of life up here. Back for food, rice, locally grown veg, pork and a glass or two of ‘happy water’, their locally made rice wine. Another comfortable night before saying good bye to this fabulous family. A truly authentic experience that I would highly recommend. Thank you Sue, Pao and family.

The location is stunning, a traditional Black H'Mong home in the heart of the Muong Hoa valley. Views of the mountains and rice paddies, the only noise was the pleasant sound of chickens, ducks and the friendly family dog in the mornings. I can't describe how wonderful it was to stay here, I will never forget the hospitality of these people or the natural beauty of the valley. It is like nowhere else that I have ever seen.

The weather! This of course it totally out of control of the homestay and my own fault for visiting SaPa in winter. The first few days were quite clear skies, a little cloudy but then the valley was blanketed in clouds for the rest of my stay and of course it was cold as it was winter.

What a wonderful place and a wonderful Family! Just go there, you will love it!! 💕🩷🤩 Best days ever!!!
