The bedroom, the breakfast, the location. All was excellent.

The building on the outside, but they are refurbishing it at the moment so the appearance should improve

The bedroom was ample and comfortable. The bathroom was lovely, a big bathroom with toilet, shower and sink. Separately there was a “little blue cave” with a bathtub, which I did not have time to enjoy. The A/C worked fine as long as you took care to use the remote control from a location with a direct line of sight to the unit, which was blocked behind a wardrobe thing. Roberta, the lady in charge, was extremely nice and helpful and excellent at communication. Pre-arrival, she texted me instructions with pinpad. Codes on how to access the building, the hotel and the room. She cheerfully carried our luggage up the stairs ( and down, when we departed) to our room (we are seniors and needed help). She cooked my scrambled eggs to perfection at breakfast.

Be aware that this is a Second Floor hotel with no elevators, in American this means THIRD floor, and the flights of stairs were long and so were uncomfortable to climb. The stairs did not have motion-sensor lights, so they were dark and unsafe at night. This fact was not revealed in the hotel’s description on Booking. We would NOT have booked it if we had known. Our biggest disappointment was that the building is undergoing renovation and as soon as you enter the carriageway after entering the street gate, you are met by a mess of construction materials, a portable toilet and other mess. This detracted enormously from our stay. It should have been declared in the hotel description. While breakfast was fine, the breakfast room was tired and unappealing.

Roberta’s breakfast was excellent. We love the freshness and of the food, simply delicious. The room was very centrally located yet quiet at night.

Beautifully renovated room and breakfast area. Very clean and central which made it easy for exploring Palermo. Roberta was extremely welcoming and responsive and we would definitely stay again!

The front of the building was being restored so we weren’t able to use our balcony but there was no noise or other disruption from this.

Roberta was lovely, very friendly and kind. The other staff were friendly too.

There wasn’t much wardrobe space.

Great location in the heart of Palermo old town. Roberta is a great host always available and helpful. Really good breakfast included.

Central location in an authentic Sicilian building.

Very well situated, within easy walking distance of all the major tourist attractions and many restaurants near bye. The B&B was very well appointed and has been beautifully refurbished. Roberta was very welcoming, helpful and very practical in her advice…and she makes great omelettes and pancakes.
