White House Group Of Houseboats

House boat was last in the series, hence we had a full view of the lake, which was not available in any other house boat. House boat owner had personally arranged our dinner of our choice. Staff of the house boat was very cordial and helpful. Most importantly the Bathroom were very clean and tidy.

Was a good experience

Stayed by at Ibrahim’s group of white house boats, for three days and two nights. It was an amazing experience and we would rate it in the below aspects: 5/5 - The location was along dal lake, overseeing the open side of the lake. No landlocked view but our windows allowed us to view the sunrise and sunset from comforts of the boat. Extremely scenic and accessibly convenient to nearby amenities, restaurants, cafes, shops etc. Very well maintained, clean, authentic boat house decor, warm and vibrantly colored textile decor, scenic boat house. Despite being on water, no complains of mosquito breeding or faul smell of the surroundings. 5/5 - The hospitality of the owner and the team was very warm, responsive to needs, and informative. Sir Ibrahim had given suggestions on itineraries and transport arrangements to consider from airport and while in Srinagar, along with options to consider. He has contacts of reliable and resourceful locals to host the stay guests. Ensured he was available and waiting for our arrival, to brief and introduce us to the stay arrangements. Ashraf bhai and Imraan bhai had been very communicative, and reliable local assets to depend on for moving around the vicinity - from rowing us across the lake to the city streets n number of times, around water markets (i.e., Meena bazaar, vegetable market) offering in-house service help with meals and water supply. Gulam Cha Cha who had driven us around the city and to and from Gulmarg while offering undeniable suggestions for restaurant options and planning for time of travels. Arrangements such as leaving bags after check outs, and discussions on alternate stay options and price packages were accommodated. 4/5 - Amenities provided were pretty decent. Wifi was available, with occasional power cuts which is not specific to the location but for the whole of Kashmir. Hot water could be requested for unlimited refills.

The food was a little pricey

As this is the last houseboat on that line, it has the best views of Dal Lake. The rooms were very spacious and the property was very nice. The owner, Ibrahim was fantastic. He was very accommodating with changes due to unforeseen circumstances. He also is very helped arranged for anything that we needed: a shikhara ride, a driver to tour all around Kashmir, gondola tickets for Gulmarg (for which he also arranged for payment as we didn't have Indian bank account), and dinner at the boat (which was great).

The main road can be a little noisy at times.

The stay was very good, and the owner was very helpful.

The morning breakfast was okay can be better. The rooms were quite spacious and the location was good. Owner was really helpful and friendly. Had all the amenities one needs.

One of the best location and view because it is the last houseboat in the series giving a very open view of the dal lake. All other house boats look into each other and there is no view at all
