Rother Street Cottage by Oracle

Unable to properly answer the question about the host/s as we never had any contact with them. The property was convenient for exploring the town. It seemed clean and the facilities were good

The 'welcome tray' was the most meagre and unwelcoming we have ever experienced in many years of travel. For the price charged for this property one would expect a little better than this. For very little cost and effort a few basics would make guests on arrival feeling that their custom was welcome. The property owners have let themselves down because otherwise it is a property we would have considered returning to.

Central to town centre, easy parking. Clean and tidy.

Bed and mattress could be improved - pillows need updating along with some kitchen crockery etc

Was nice little cottage everything nice and clean and was nice to stay there for few nights exploring strattford upon avon and was very close to town

The beds was bit uncomfortable as matterises was very firm

The description of the property. It was not explained that access to one bedroom was through the other and that the toilet was on the ground floor. The stairs are very steep The bedding and pillows were not hotel quality

Lack of basics - no tea bags, watered down soap in bathroom, not really enough crockery for more than 1 meal.

My wife had a fall stepping into the cottage and broke her arm because the floor level is lower than the street level
