Long Beach Resort by Panhandle Getaways

Great view, but the unit was the dirtiest I've ever stayed in!!!

For the amount of money we paid, they gave us ONE roll of CHEAP toilet tissue and refused to replinish! There was ONE TINY bath soap, ONE hand towell (another was wadded up under the bed which we didn't touch), NO Kleenex, NO laundry supplies, NO clock in the bedroom, Lock on the balcony door was broken, Furniture was worn to the point that it was awful on backs; blood stains and body odor on comforter. The unit needs refurbishment BADLY! A piece of metal trim on the outer deck was buckled and peeling up. What is that about??? What we did like was we forgot about the time change between Georgia and West Florida, and the office let us in early, the view, the large balcony, and the comfortable (if blood-stained) bed. This is a 14-story building and only 1 elevator was working while we were there for 4 nights - the other elevator stopped working on the 3rd day and we had to walk all the way down. Several people were trying to check out and had to hand-carry their luggage down who knows how many stair flights they had to deal with! We will not stay here again! We stayed at this property for three nights. We were in tower 3 and the lobby smelled awful. We had to hold our breath every single time. I received the lock code for our door via email but not the actual room number which was confusing. I had to actually check in to find out which location. Would have been nice to not have to go to a separate location to check in. This property is good for a family who isn’t fussy. A family who wants an ocean front balcony and nothing else. The decor was outdated and the condo was in major need of repairs. There was a hole in the bathroom wall that had been replastered but not re-painted. The bathtub needs to be replaced completely. Dusty and ugly. The king size bed hurt my back and was very thin. The worst part was checkout. Checkout time is at 10a and they send you a code via email and text. It was about 9:45a and we were talking out the trash and looking around to ensure we got everything. Housekeeping came and stood inside the doorway watching us. Even before I hit the checkout link. We asked them to come back at 10a and they didn’t understand because they spoke no English. It was very uncomfortable.

I love the resort, beach area and parking was very easy. The unit we stayed in was run down and is in need of repairs. The AC unit was leaking into the kitchen and bathroom tiles were missing in the bathroom where there was another leak. We were provided four towels which we constantly had to wash (along with the four beach towels we brought) so that would could keep cleaning up the water. Maintenance showed up 24 hours after we called and repaired the leak with the AC but said they could not do anything with the ceiling leak in the bathroom because it was the unit above us with the problem.

Stayed 5 days. Location great, room clean and beach front view and access ideal. But unit needed some cosmetic fixes to knock off some of the wear. Front door was in bad shape. Very rusty and needed painted so not a good first impression. The side of the refrigerator was also rusty and needed epoxy painted on the side and bottom. Bed was very comfortable and so was the couch. Rooms were nice sized and the kitchen was very well stocked for all the cooking we did. Also enjoyed having a beach view from both the living room and bedroom. The balcony was large, plenty of chairs, a table and a lounger. Multiple pools were nice but water was cold. Hot tubs were great. There was a 1 and a half hour delay getting into our room because it wasn't ready which was a little frustrating and we were on the 12th floor when I had asked for a lower floor due to my dislike of heights but none were apparently available. Can't understand the large cleaning fee considering you have to take out the trash, wash the dishes, strip the bed and gather all the towels and linens for the cleaning crew before you leave. Doesn't leave much for them to do. Overall it was a relaxing stay with beach access and a nice view. Mostly cosmetic issues that need to be addressed. Considering how much you are paying to stay here I expected it to be a little nicer.

We enjoyed our stay, everything was awesome, parking great!! Elevator’s are quick, pools are very nice, everything is super clean, our condo was perfect. We will be back here for another vacation for sure.

Great views and better location

Location , this is my hotel is very nice and clean , My suite 14 floor was hot at 80 • degrees I don’t know if the problem was the A C , or because was the last floor

Great view and the room was bigger than expected! Had everything we needed for the stay!! Well other than a broom! We left it there so hopefully it's there for others.. especially with all the sand associated with the beach.. Anytime we go back, this will be our go to spot in Panama!!
