It was a shared area and really aloof

There was no breakfast. The location is good - easy to reach and navigate. I liked the human touch - in form of Sam - with whom I talked about some of the details prior to arriving in Philadelphia. He was understanding, attentive, relating, warm and assuring! - which is very much the reason for me to lean toward a positive review. Some other parts were a little too robotic for my taste.

It would be nice if there would have been a lamp close to the bed - to allow for some reading - and to turn off the lights without having to get back out of bed to turn the light off - The first 2 nights I was uncomfortably cold. I complained and someone somehow managed to increase the heat. However, I would have liked it better if the remote control would have worked. - and if the signage on the remote control would have been readable without needing a magnifying glass.

It has a working AC. That’s the only thing we appreciated about this place.

This place is horrible to stay at for more than one night. The mattress is terribly uncomfortable. We clearly made the reservation as couple. We found ONE PILLOW. I contacted the staff about it but unfortunately nobody answered. Other minor problems aren’t that important at this point but a mattress and a pillow, that’s the minimum! They mention free parking, that was one of the reasons why I picked this place but in fact they don’t have private parking spaces. I had to park my down the street where the parking is free. And the neighborhood is not the safest especially at night. Now it’s been more than a week after our checkout and I still haven’t received my deposit back and obviously nobody answers their messages.

The property owner is running a scam on booking.com claiming the property is a hotel with suites when it really is a cheap air bnb type establishment under a different name then the booking.com. Capital Hotel is the actual property and the bad reviews attached to the Capital Hotel are accurate. The bathroom door was broken and left unfixed so that my travel companion and I were forced to use the bathroom facilities with the door open in front of each other. There were a pair of unknown persons reading glasses in the made but very uncomfortable, worn and torn matress bed and there was no wifi available. The location is far away from the museums as well as city center and it is not a hotel building with staff, it is a self check in check out apartment in a apartment complex building. Beware before booking this property as it is a scam.

Street parking was relatively easy and the room was spotless

Nothing! I left after only being there 2 hours.

It was not clean at all. One of the beds were broken and had a brown spot. We left after 2 hours and paid for another space and did not get back a dime!. The layout was weird. If you are on a budget and passing by maybe a good option !

No tvs worked, the WiFi don’t work. Fridges didn’t work. Still dirty in unit. Not what advertised
