New studio flat overlooking city centre

The host/owner was great. He met me upon arrival and helped me bring my suitcase up the stairs (and did the same when I left). The room size was perfect for one person (or a couple). I was staying there for a week and the price was reasonable so I didn't have to break the bank. There's a microwave and a mini fridge as well. For a fairly small place it had everything you needed. The owner was also very responsive each time I needed something.

The main down side was the noise from outside as the room is situated in a small alley right in the centre of Kingston, and there are bars, cafes, restaurants around. I wouldn't say people talking outside was a huge disturbance for me as I was quiet tired each night and use a whitenoise app to help me sleep whenever I go. But for those who want a really quiet place then this isn't the right place for you. The amusing aspect though was that from the window of the room I could hear passers-by talking in many different languages. It was tourist season, so it was like the world was at your doorstep (or rather, window). Other than that, the place was great. Could use a little more cleaning (especially of the bathroom like the showered) though.

Not a hard No, just that for elders— might not be that friendly as it’s by stairs and no lift.

This small apartment is located in a very desirable area near the train, supermarkets, restaurants, fruit market and in general a very nice neighborhood. The bed is ok and the mattress is comfortable. The a/c works and is a plus during the heat of the summer.

On the other hand the entrance to the building and stairs are filthy and in need of TLC. The apartment itself needs cleaning, the microwave was dirty with leftover food of previous use. We did not have Wi-Fi and after complaining for a few days we were given the Internet of a friend that owns the cafe on the first floor however after 6:00 pm when the cafe closed for the day there was no signal. The apartment is on the second floor with no elevator. There were also problems with the curtain rod which was missing a bracket but the owner ignored our concern and the curtain remained hanging without providing shade on that side of the window.

Amazing location for food shopping and drinks on your doorstep literally.

The room lock and shared downstairs door lock needed a key. In a fire this would be very dangerous if the staircase was filled with smoke. This needs changing asap to a latch to exit.

I loved the location, right in the heart of the city centre, great for the rail station & eateries, so accessible. The secure metal door downstairs was awesome! Loved this security feature Beautiful flat, clean, bright, comfy, had everything I needed.

The only thing I was not keen on was that there is no door on the actual bedroom. I would prefer an actual door, I felt a little vulnerable and exposed (particularly being a female), even though the flat security downstairs was 100% secure. I suppose I was a little shocked. I think the owner should prewarn you, there is no actual door, i.e. open plan.

Modern, well situated for shops and restaurants. Comfortable bed. Very helpful owner.

Needed a good dust. Definitely could do with some soundproofing as the walls are very thin and you could here everything people next door and outside did. Gate below very noisy and was opening at all hours.

Really nice room with good facilities, so you can warm up a meal. Comfy bed, soft towels and hot shower.

I couldn't access the WiFi and also the location is a loud on a Friday and Saturday night, as there's an Irish bar a few doors down.
