great location, spacious and had everything we needed

It was clean and close to the centre.

It was advertised as having parking - but didn’t. Also a bit basic, rooms & bathroom were very small. Quite expensive for what you get.

Well where do I start, we arrived and we had been given the wrong key code so had do go through a few numbers with the owner over the phone. Went in and it wasn’t the cleanest , pillow case with make up on and dirty towels . Dirty curtains , remote and floor. It was very cold in there so I phoned the owner for help they said they would call me back, I had no phone call back which resulted in an uncomfortably cold stay with 3 little children and a baby. The boiler was working but there was no thermostat on display, we had informed the owner and told her that we had little kids but no help was given. Got up in the morning and we left straight away as we didn’t want to use the facilities and needed to warm up.

The photos in the description were the best part.

Everything. We arrived to a dirty, unhygienic property. We entered the front door to dirt and a broom. The dirt continued in the living room. The floor had not been sweep or mopped. The carpets had not been vacuumed either. There were nail clipping on the carpet. There was a stick pin stuck in the carpet (we traveled with a pet that easily could’ve step on it as well as we could). There was hair on the floor, window sill, toilet, snd sink of one of the baths. There was no hand soap or any other toiletries in the baths nor hand towels. The heating didn’t work. And the sofa was covered across the full of it in stains. I even asked for a duvet maybe to cover it before they would address it and duvet was also covered in stains. The wifi didn’t work at all. The parking was a nightmare that was difficult to understand where to go to park half the day and move it for the other half of the day. I ended up spending £15 for parking for the one day. When I brought all of this to their attention, there was no concern until I kept asking to which someone finally apologized, said they’d make it right and come clean. Then asked me to send the photos of the issues, which we did. I tried calling them several times and the number listed on the property was not a working number. I wonder why? No response to when they’d come. In good faith we left to explore the city. 4 hours later still no response. At this point I contacted booking to know what my options were. There were none. We could try to get a refund but the property had no obligation to and they couldn’t force them or penalize them for the state of the property and their non response. So I either had to stay in a gross property or have potentially no refund. Booking attempted to call them several times with me on hold and couldn’t get through to them either. How can that be acceptable?! I was so upset we left the property that night. The property has continued to be non responsive to me AND to Booking.

The house was homely . The environment was quiet and clean. I recommend it for a family.

Correct the WiFi name on the chart. It's different from the one available

The place was easy to find. It was meticulous;y clean. Kitchen was well equiped with dish washer and washing machine.

The Ad said free WIFI. There was no WIfi network. contacted property owner.. wasnt of much help as we got the details of a WIfi network that didnot even show in the available wifi networks. Note Router wa son and workin Main bathroom didnot have a mirror. Beds are double beds and can be small for 2 people

Location was good, close to amenities, towels were fresh and fluffy. As we arrived later on a Saturday and were leaving Sunday we were lucky to get parking opposite, otherwise we'd have had to park elsewhere.

There was no hot water, there weren't enough glasses, there was no hand soap, ironing board was broken, one of the mattresses was upside down on a bunk bed, there was some damage in areas, a missing mirror in the downstairs bathroom which was tiny, I was glad we were only staying 1 night.
