The Lanaux Mansion

The location could not have been better. A very short walk (like two minutes) from the best jazz clubs on Frenchman Street. We didn't even rent a car during our time in New Orleans; we could walk everywhere we wanted to be. Our suite was immaculate and well-appointed; having a kitchen allowed us to save money on breakfasts and snacks. The porch was a relaxing place to take in the morning breeze before setting out to enjoy the town. The hostess was responsive when we had requests. We will definitely plan to stay here again when we return to New Orleans!

We should have stayed in the main house, the suites were nice by the bedroom didn’t have good AC flow, it was too hot to enjoy the balcony & the contact mgr didn’t respond when I requested additional/better pillows. The continental breakfast was a cute concept but not in actuality 👎

Das Gebäude und die Einrichtung sind stilvoll und ordentlich und die Lage zum French Quarter ist genial. Das im Kühlschrank enthaltene Frühstück war gut. Die Kommunikation mit dem Betreiber erfolgt durch Nachrichten in der App. und war sehr zügig. Aber wenn man als Ausländer kein US-Datenvolumen hat ist man aber aufgeschmissen. Das sollte man einfach beachten, wenn man das bucht. Tageskarten für die Straßenbahn in New Orleans kosten 3$ für das gesamte Netz (Erwerben kann man die beim Fahrer), damit kommt man gut und günstig in die auch sehr schönen Außenbereiche der Stadt und das French Quarter sowie der Mississippi sind sowieso in Laufentfernung. Ein (kostenpflichtiger) Parkplatz steht am Haus zur Verfügung, aber den muss man rechtzeitig buchen - was wir nicht getan hatten. Parkplätze gibt es zwar in allen angrenzenden Straßen, aber alles sind auf 2 Stunden begrenzt. Kostenfreie Parkplätze sind im Umfeld nicht zu finden und man sagte uns auch, dass falsch geparkte Autos gerne zügig abgeschleppt werden. Wir haben einen Parkplatz beim Hotel Richelieu gebucht. 50$ will man dort pro Tag haben, aber das Auto steht auf einem abgeschlossenen Hof und man kann rein und raus wie man will. Es ist auch nur 100m weg. Die Kosten muss man halt einplanen - ist aber in anderen US-Städten auch so.

Das Haus hat mehrere Zugänge. Unserer ging durch die von der Seitenstraße ab. Der Zugang zu unserer Wohnung ging über eine recht steile Treppe durch die Waschküche. Wenn man größere Koffer hat wird es da schnell eng.

Stunning mansion, all the comforts of home, spotless, able to walk to everything including the river. Great communication with then owner/manager. Exactly what we were looking for to complete our weekend get-a-way!

Advertised as bed and breakfast however minimal choices (oatmeal, orange juice,coffee,milk). Am used to having an actual meal provided.

The person in charge of the premises was very helpful in guiding me to the beautiful building. I do not do well driving at night. Andrea was very nice, supportive and understood my anxiety in driving at night into New Orleans, She was so kind, patient and thoughtful about getting me safely to the Lanaux. Our accommodations were beautiful and comfortable. She was so patient and wanted to make sure we were comfortable, In addition, Jackie who works there was very helpful with our luggage and making sure we were comfortable as well. I absolutely recommend this wonderful place, our rooms were clean wonderful sheets, munchies, great coffee, juices, just great! The garden patios are beautiful. We felt very welcomed and very safe. We are two older women in our late seventies and eighties and comfort and safety are essential. I highly recommend staying at this wonderful Historical Mansion - The Lanaux Mansion.

I loved everything there. The accommodations, the cleanliness, the thoughtful staff. The price reasonable. So close to everything in the Quarter. Loved it!!!

Location was perfect for tourists. Walking distance to French Quarter and Frenchmen Street. The host was very accommodating and responsive. There was coffee and some small snacks including OJ.

Everything was great. A light in the shower would've been convenient if I have to say anything.
