Woodland cottage in Cornwall with walled garden

Disappointing that concerns raised by other guests had not been addressed by the owner eg poor heating, inadequate and unclean utensils, hot water tap in bathroom not working, bin outside not emptied with a bag of rubbish around it. These irritations spoilt an otherwise lovely holiday experience. Also it would be helpful to make it clear in the description of the property about the extremely low ceiling in the upstairs bedroom rather than rely upon the photos.

The road in and out can get a bit congested.

Great location for where we needed to be. Easy parking. Nice size property.

Heating was temperamental. Boiling hot one day and overnight, we couldn’t work out how to turn it down so the following night I turned it off. Then the next day we couldn’t get the living room radiators to come on. Please provide bigger towels for guest. Good size kitchen but lacking in basics, especially if you’re staying for many days. No suitable baking trays or decent sponge to wash dishes (I bought some and left there) and the button of the oven was out of line so had to guess the temperature. Oven smelt like it hadn’t been used for a while!

Fantastic location and had everything that we needed and more. It was clean, and had a beautifully homely feel. Very comfy bed.

The cottage was very sweet, and I loved the little walled garden and chimney! My son loved the mezzanine bedroom. The area is superb, amazing walks in the country, but conveniently close to town. Helston was much nicer than I was expecting.

There were several little things e.g. bathroom basin tap not working, hot tap in kitchen was just a trickle, no bedside lamps or tables, more large towels would have been nice. Kitchen equipment was fairly basic, but adequate. Bed was too soft, but that is very subjective! Overall, nothing important!
